@caprioleio Wait till you factor in multiplier effect. Sure one would argue defense spending will do good but most of it will goes to $3000 screw that cost $10 The higher oil will triggle down the economy and hurt everyone

@flowpom @Bogachan_1971 @Frederi55284379 @grok Why the need to control yield? Because high yields means mortgage rate and borring rate high which kills economy bc ppl put $ in bank rather than do business. By having low yields it encourage ppl to borrow, letting money flow to the correct place (consume) helps the economy

@flowpom @Bogachan_1971 @Frederi55284379 @grok Bond yield is inflation expectations+ expected return. When inflation runs high, yield spike. Japan can suppress yield by buying the bond out. More demand for a product= less yield a bond needs to give to the buyer, buying lots of bond without actual $ = QE

"Who's the more foolish? The fool, or the fool who follows him?" - Obi Wan, Star Wars Episode IV Bank of Japan is the dvmbest Central Bank in the Galaxy. Unfortunately, they now got the dvmbest Prime Minister as well... these combos do not usually happen by coincidence..... US Treasury and FED had been keeping #OIL futures suppresed, #VIX suppresed, buying US Treausury auctions via shell companies in Cayman pretending to be Hedge Funds, buying US Stock Futures in Asia hours.... and helping BOJ to keep USDJPY below 160..... All these cost a lot of ammo... now we saw this movie during #IranWar.... when the plan did not work and have to retreat, who did USA sacrifice first? GCC countries... they were fools who followed the dvmbest US President ever and bribed him a lot of billions... Now same thing will happen here as well and Japan will be the first casualty... fools tried to help Bessent to manipulate oil futures as well... I love Japanese cuiture but Japan has to sink for us to have a chance to get our markets back... and the dvmb and dvmber running USA gave us a chance now.... Japan will sink... 1% rate with 5-10% inflation will do that.

Macro Liquidity by Sunil Reddy
Big warning for risk assets. Oil is starting to hit the highest-quality collateral in the system. This has the makings of an “everything sell-off” unless the pressure eases soon. The main issue isn’t inflation. The bigger signal is this: bonds and gold are selling off because the market is trying to raise cash. That’s the real warning. In a normal risk-off move, capital usually hides in bonds or gold. In a liquidity squeeze, even the safest assets get sold because cash becomes the priority. The sequence is dangerous: Oil shock creates stress → markets demand cash → bonds and gold get sold → collateral values fall → haircuts rise → margin pressure builds → leverage gets cut → liquidity drains from risk assets. That’s how a geopolitical or commodity shock turns into a financial plumbing problem. Most people won’t notice until equities break. The early warning comes before that, when even the best collateral starts getting dumped for cash. If this continues, risk assets are in a dangerous spot, and the move may catch a lot of people off guard.

@LearnersTube @biancoresearch also the human life loss during the destruction of civillian infrastructures, thats another pain on Iran that cannot be repaired. Whether thats painful enough for the next course of action is for the Iranians and its government to feel and decide.

@LearnersTube @biancoresearch I am not brainwashed, being neutral is key in understanding conflict. Whether its repaired or not is irrelevant, since u asked about their pains, I am pointing out the pains. Whether thats painful or not thats up for another debate

Last week, the UAE asked for swap lines with the Fed/Treasury. This week, they leave OPEC+. While the world asks who will blink first, the US or Iran ... maybe the answer is the UAE. The economic pain the UAE is under is intolerable for them, worse than that of Iran.

@ed_fin Iran real negotiation power comes from controlling the strait with tolls not necessarily the oil price. Gcc have 1st mover advantage in obeying Iran If US cant decimate Iran despite yrs of sanction = doesnt look good Not sure validity of source below x.com/financialjuice…

@Fightme120 3. However I agree that geopolitically and symbolically, it would be a nicely staged humiliation of the US. The question is whether or not Iran is willing to weaken its negotiating position (by “letting hostages go”) in order to do China a favor? I guess we’ll see.

@Mark_IKN From all angles? From a cerrado gold point of view, higher production now vs WRLG and in the future makes WRLG valuation hard to stand on it feet, either $CERT raise in value or WRLG drop more. Doesnt have to be CERT, there r a few thats in similar situation

Took me until now, early Monday morning, to work out what's going on at West Red Lake Gold $WRLG.v. Woke up early, lay in bed, started thinking about it all from a different angle, suddenly all the pieces fell into place. Big report edit now required, out tonight.

Press conference on the new fund underway. First questions from the Globe and Mail: Where will the $25B come from? Who’s making the decisions? How transparent will it be? Wow, refreshing change. These are exactly the questions we should be hearing.
The Food Professor@FoodProfessor

BREAKING NEWS: PM Mark Carney set to announce a sovereign wealth fund, a major shift in how Canada invests in its economy. This could be a game changer for agri-food. More capital for infrastructure, processing, and supply chains would increase competitiveness globally. It will only benefit agriculture if agri-food is treated as a national priority—not an afterthought.
