Jokes aside, it varies a lot. Everything is online, and we're all in different cities, so it can be a bit unnatural to connect. In a traditional context, it would be easier to stay in touch at vernissages, dinners, and social events. I talk to a handful of collectors every few weeks or months, whether it's to discuss art in general or something specific, like the maintenance of a collection, its display, or its experience. That being said, everyone is busy with their own lives and problems. Social matters are often the first to be put aside. It's hard to keep track of everyone, and creative work is very isolating. I'd like to do more tho. I generally find it easier to stay in touch with other artists and curators, maybe because we're on the everyday business side of things.

📁 Art on Tezos Let’s have a weekly look at items of interest across the @artontezos_ ecosystem: Now live is ‘throwOfDice’ by @figure31, curated by @bygrida. Each NFT in the fully on-chain collection (leveraging the Tezos EVM - Etherlink - network) is a unique dice throw. Each throw features between 1-9 dice with values from 1-9. While those face values fix at mint, several other attributes - dice positions, light source, and camera orbit - reroll with every refresh. Mints are open until May 1st. ‘''Untitled (16:915x50)''‘ by @micalnoelson is one of the week’s high sales, acquired for 2,500 XTZ ($859 USD) by @thisistolo. Originally minted in June 2025, the 1-of-1 mixed media artwork quotes Junkie by William S. Burroughs in its description: “…human aggregates disintegrating in cosmic inanity…” ‘Moth’ by @arlekin_julia is the 24 hour high sale, acquired for 777 XTZ ($273 USD) by @Crip2DaX. Part of the collection ‘The world in me’, its description concludes: “We can create the whole worlds with our own hands. And at the same time we have a power to burn everything what we create.” “This curation brings together artists who chose the point of no return. There is no backup plan. The bridge is gone. What looks like risk from the outside is really, a necessity.” @5tr4n0 curation ‘IRREVERSIBLE’ continues to receive attention and is a hit of the week. Part of 360° art show at TezDev 2026, Cannes, France, it features 15 artists and artwork editions. Pictured is ‘línea de corte’ by @uncertaingaze. 11 of its 24 available (25 total) editions are sold at 140 XTZ each.

🖼️ 24 HOURS OF ART 📊 April 2, 2026 🖥️ Pixel Reflection We begin with a reflective report via @nguyenwahed Gallery from @ArtBasel Hong Kong Zero 10: ‘PXL DUO POD’ by @kimasendorf sold out in full for $235,000 USD heading into the first VIP opening day. The artist’s latest development for a solo presentation revolved around two pixel cylinders, their proximity dictating interaction between independent systems. @drmiminguyen shared this about the over-arching experience: “In 2024, I attended a sunset cocktail digital-arts-celebrating soirée hosted by @alanlau999 on the Art Basel Hong Kong terrace. To see that spirit scale into this year’s Zero 10 sector, curated by @eli_schein, and dedicated entirely to digital art, has been remarkable. The energy was undeniable, it felt less like a sector debut in Hong Kong and more like a movement arriving.” 🪟 Pictured: 24 Hour Activity - 'The One Who Holds' by @YUDHO_XYZ - 'Ether Rock #38' by @EtherRock - 'The Unbroken' by @YUDHO_XYZ - 'PXL DUO POD' by Kim Asendorf, photo courtesy Nguyen Wahed from ABHK - 'I WANNA RUN' by @deekaymotion with @AOTMgallery - 'Medium Mary' and 'Largest Mary' by @nancybursonart with @heft_gallery, both acquired by @Jediwolf - 'The Spring Light' by @RJ16848519, collected by @0xRoses0x via @AOTMgallery

Thanks a lot! I think systems give the audience much more space to exist within the work, and they broaden the definition of artworks from static and artist-centric to something dynamic and open-ended. All new artistic movements/paradigms use the tech of their time in some way: we've got the blockchain.

GM. I’m still trying to stay off screens and socials but I wanted to give a quick shoutout to a really interesting new drop I just spotted. 🎲thowOfDice 🎲 A couple weeks ago I posted that cryptoart currently runs on three key models and that Web3 artists should be focusing on model #3: system creation. By that (#3) I mean artists building frameworks where participants own pieces of a larger structure and meaning emerges through interaction. I think that @figure31’s throwOfDice captures a lot of that thesis. It’s a fully on-chain animated work where each mint becomes part of a larger live structure and this is where I believe cryptoart becomes most powerful: when blockchain is not just a sales layer and the art doesn’t stop at the image. It becomes a system that collectors can enter, affect, and also help to define over time. I feel that throwOfDice is a strong example of that direction. Go check it out and you can read more about it at the link below by @flakoubay & @100collectors

@nix_eth I've had similar results while running fine-tuned models and increasing the model's temperature to unrealistic levels. I recommend it, very surprising outputs at times.

I know it was technically a mistake, but I kind of love it. ChatGPT got a little artistic with the prose. The model hallucinated a cross-lingual blend, fusing the Arabic word muntashir (منتشر), meaning "spread" or "circulating" with the English ending from "disseminated". Kind of cool because the intended word "disseminated" comes from Latin and is etymologically unrelated to the Arabic word, even though the invented hybrid landed surprisingly close to the intended meaning.

The collection is on Tezos EVM (@etherlink). You'll need XTZ to mint. The Jumper bridge is acting up a bit right now. Ping me if you struggle to use it, I'll help out.

The throwofDice public mint is now open until May 1. The collection looks simple but conceals a network of interconnected participants and mechanisms. The code that generates the artworks is dynamic and entirely stored on-chain. Roll the dice wisely: throwofdice.figure31.com
