An additional site has been opened where residents can take recycling and food waste while the current industrial dispute between Unite members and their employer SUEZ continues. From today (Thursday 13 July) residents can now take recycling and food waste to Cleve Rugby Club Car Park in Mangotsfield. This site will be manned on weekdays between the hours of 8am and 2pm. There are now six locations where recycling and food waste (but not garden waste) can be taken weekdays 8am – 2pm: ▪ Stoke Gifford Park and Ride (Parkway station), Hunts Ground Road, BS34 8XX ▪ Lyde Green Park and Ride, Willowherb Road, BS16 7GG ▪ Page Road short stay car park Staple Hill, Page Road, BS16 4NE ▪ SGC North Way site, Filton, BS34 7QG ▪ Yate Park and Ride, Badminton Road, Yate, BS37 5YS ▪ Cleve RFC Car Park, The Hayfields, Cossham Street, Mangotsfield, BS16 9EN. Residents are asked not to leave recycling or food waste at these sites outside of the manned hours. Recycling (cardboard, paper, glass, cans and plastic) can be deposited in recycling skips (bring banks) 24/7 at: ▪ Warmley community centre car park, 20 Deanery Road, Bristol BS15 9JB ▪ The Batch community centre car park, 8a Park Rd, Barrs Court, Warmley, Bristol BS30 8EB Recycling, food waste, garden waste and extra household waste can be taken to the Sort It centres, seven days a week: ▪ Yate Sort It centre 8am – 4.30pm ▪ Mangotsfield Sort It centre 8.30am – 4.30pm ▪ Thornbury Sort It centre 8.30am – 4.30pm Fortnightly black bin collections continue to be prioritised to ensure the disposal of waste such as personal hygiene items, medical waste, nappy sacks and pet waste. Please put your black bin out on your normal scheduled collection day. Please do not put any other containers out. Thank you for your cooperation at this difficult time.
