Master of Magic by Simtex/MicroProse (1994)
Over 200 spells, two seperate worlds (Arcanus and Myrror) that are linked through portals, a Civ-like interface to build/upgrade your cities, and infinite replayability - what's not to love?
For a game that's over 30 years old it still looks pretty good today. There was a sequel in the works but sadly Simtex shut down in 1997, and MicroProse decided not to proceed (why MicropProse, why?), so it got lost in time.
90s were a great decade for turn-based fantasy/strategy games. Heroes of Might and Magic, Fantasy General, Lords of Magic, and of course this little gem were among the best.
We've reached a new milestone - 50k wishlists for Underrail 2: Infusion. As we continue to work very hard on this project, it feels good to be reminded that there are literally thousands of people out there who find our work interesting. Big thanks to all Underrail fans - old and new!
BIG NEWS! In March, 2026, we release Queen’s Wish: The Judgment, the conclusion to the series! This final chapter will be released as free DLC for Queen’s Wish 2: The Tormentor.
Queen's Wish 2 is on sale on Steam this week ...

@stygdev First of all, thank you for sharing this with us. I have noticed that there are no SGS Credits or Zlatortiya. Will we see our SGS home or West Underrail in your new game?
20 years.
It's been over 20 years since I created the first iteration of WinWorld, poorly made with Print Shop and hosted on Bravenet complete with a guestbook and hit counter. How far we have come.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make this possible. Here's to another 20.
Today I managed to decode all the #Amberstar layouts. This is not as easy as it might seem. Each of the 11 layouts consists of 20x11 blocks (16x16 each) while the top row uses only a 16x12 part and the bottom row a 16x7 part and the lower corners are finished with bit masks.
For me this was an absolute beast of a year in gaming. Loved what came out during this year and still do.
If you were already gaming in 1994 what game or games are you most fond of?
