With the alarming decline of democracy in America, what pride is left in accepting invitations from them? What exactly is there to gain? I thought we were working towards the socio-economic emancipation of Africa — not clinging to outdated symbols of Western validation. This is not the America that once stood as a beacon of democracy. The cracks are visible for all to see. Sober African leaders should have the courage to decline such invitations. If Trump or any U.S. leader wants to engage with Africa, let them come to Africa — let them see us on our own terms. But as always, the politics of personal gain and scoring points will continue to cloud our collective and rational judgment.

First, it was the MCC funds that were restricted, then came the visa restriction for all Sierra Leoneans, and now, even with our recent ECOWAS Chairmanship, we have been left out of the prestigious White House meeting where we could have engaged directly with the US President on commercial opportunities. Isn't it clear to everyone that Maada Bio's illegitimacy is suffocating our progress? "No power, no propaganda"....from man will stop the agreed transition of power. @antonioguterres @UNSierraLeone @unsc @Keketoma_Sandi @ecowas_cedeao @julius_maadabio @ebklegacy @StateDept @10DowningStreet @UNOAU_ @AfricanUnionSC1

Dr. Richard Konteh (The Unifier)
Dr. Richard Konteh Responds to Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh’s Comments on AYV. Dr. David Moinina Sengeh’s recent remarks on AYV, where he labeled the leaders of the opposition as “unprogressive” for criticizing the government’s policies, are not only irresponsible but also reckless. This kind of rhetoric is detrimental to national unity and peace, as it serves to deepen divisions and hinder any meaningful dialogue needed to resolve the pressing challenges facing Sierra Leone. By undermining the opposition in such a manner, the Chief Minister dismisses the vital role of constructive criticism in a functioning democracy. Healthy political discourse is an essential pillar of democratic governance, and no progress can be made in Sierra Leone without engaging in open, respectful debates about policies and their implications for the people. The All People’s Congress (APC) party is a formidable and respected political force that has contributed immensely to the growth and development of Sierra Leone. Under the leadership of the APC, the country saw significant strides in governance, infrastructure, education, and economic growth. Unfortunately, much of this progress has been undermined by the current government, which has systematically dismantled vital programs, initiatives and institutions over the last seven years. We all know that you are on record to have made disparaging remarks against elders in your Party and even our Churches and Mosques were not spared when you accused them of stealing. If this is your Trademark, please make sure you do not extend it to our Party and its leadership that we hold in the highest esteem because of the service they have rendered individually and collectively to this country. Instead of engaging in divisive language, we must work towards a united Sierra Leone where political differences are respected, and the focus remains on improving the livelihoods of our citizens. National unity and peace can only be achieved through inclusive governance, where all voices are heard, whether from the government or the opposition. #richardkonteh #TheUnifier #dunifier #SierraLeone #SaloneX @diaspora_apc @ecowas_cedeao @EUinSierraLeone @USEmbFreetown @UKinSierraLeone @NDI @apc_sl

I have just listened to the Chief Minister's interview on AYV, where he referred to leaders of the opposition as "unprogressive" for criticing the government's policies. That statement is reckles and irresponsible. However, one outstanding quality of a good leader is how he handles criticism. When you receive constructive feedback or criticism, listen carefully and respectfully. Don't interrupt, argue, or justify yourself. Try to understand the perspective and intention of the giver, and ask questions if you need clarification. Thank them for their input and acknowledge their points. This was how APC handled critisisms to the extent that inflation never went up to 54% under our watch. The cost of a bag of rice only moved from Le 60 to Le 200 in 10 years. All salaries were paid before Christmas. Minimum wage afforded our citizens three bags of rice. Finally, the Chief Minister doesn't need to look too far for alternative policies from the opposition. Please find yourself parliamentary handsards. They contained several alternatives to government policies from the opposition. Have a nice day.

APC Peace Tour has descended into an Anti-Samura Bashing Event with statements that are far from peace and unity. This is regrettable. We should embrace one and all. We may hold differing opinions on Electoral Justice, but build blocs of consensus and plan for victory come 2028

The Sierra Leone police (@PoliceLeone) has issued a memo on the forced repatriation of Sierra Leoneans from Guinea. The memo indicates that the Guinean authorities have violated the rights of our citizens by failing to adhere to international legal protocols. Despite this, these individuals are our countrymen and deserve our goodwill and compassion. The government and Aid agencies must now support the most vulnerable, such as women and children, by providing them with necessary life-saving assistance. This situation calls for intervention to uphold their human rights and dignity and ensure their safe reintegration into the Sierra Leonean society. @We_yoneNp @UKinSierraLeone @awokonewspaper @USEmbFreetown @SLMIC3 @LibertyOnlineTV #SaloneX #Salonetwitter

News Flash!! Following the historic visit of the Liberian President to the illegitimate @PresidentBio, where they signed a joint statement agreeing on a "peaceful transition of power," rumors are circulating that Maada Bio has secretly told his inner circle that he'd rather have the military takeover than handing over power to the rightful winner of the presidential election, Dr. Samura Kamara. I'm sounding the alarm for all Sierra Leoneans to stay vigilant and not celebrate if they hear about any coup d'etat. We must outrightly reject any military takeover. The international community needs to understand that Sierra Leoneans are determined to restore their dignity. @AJEnglish @democracynow @USAmbUN @USEmbFreetown @POTUS @ecowas_cedeao @EUinSierraLeone @JosephineGauld @PerspectiveSco3

By COB today, I will send an official letter to the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL) to produce the results of 24th June 2023. This aspect is vital to our democracy and our image across the world. Copying our MPs, Councilors, Mayors, Embassies, and global development partners. I ask all aspiring Flagbearers in both APC and SLPP to do the same. It is undone to have an announcement of the winner without results. As someone who fought for democracy, I ask all Sierra Leoneans not to condone this practice. For one-n-all. Arluta Continua! @ECsalone @PPRCSL @icpncsl @ecowas_cedeao @Ecowas_cdc @EUinSierraLeone @USEmbFreetown

Authorities in #SierraLeone are unserious about promoting #democracy and good governance. Everyone, including the current government, agrees the elections were faulty. Yet, Mohamed Konneh (@MKKonnehECSL), the Chief Electoral Commissioner, remains in position despite conducting an election without substantiating the results. All the efforts and investments in democracy will go to waste, as the genuine desire to promote democracy is lacking. Politics is seen as a means of self-enrichment. The golden age of Sierra Leone’s politics hangs in the balance. Until Konneh and his team are removed and the Electoral Commission is dissolved for a new non-partisan and tribal balance electoral commission is instituted, the electoral theft of 2023 will indeed happen again. @ECsalone #Salonetwitter @MCCgov @swakana99 #Salonex @ecowas_cedeao @USEmbFreetown @UKinSierraLeone @UKinSierraLeone @samurakamara201
