@Hilton , I love ya, but our last 3 stays have been disappointing, from Vegas to Lubbock, TX. These r photos from last night at the @EmbassySuites in Lubbock. The people were lovely, from front desk to the breakfast crew, but the dripping tub faucet kept me up & the room is worn.

Some personal news: Since February, I’ve been plotting with my daughter’s camp friends moms to try to game the request system to ensure all of our girls are in the same bunk together. Today, they got to camp and all were placed in the same bunk together.

It was a historic week for school choice in Texas. In my 12 years of fighting for school choice, I have so many people to thank for making it happen. It was a team effort. The 1 person who I have to thank the most, who got us across the finish line, is President @realdonaldtrump. It started in the 2024 Republican Primary, when he and I endorsed 10 Republican challengers, almost all unknown and underdogs, against longtime Texas House incumbents who voted against school choice last session. The President won all 10 of those races. He also endorsed two new pro-school choice senators who won, and 3 pro-school choice House incumbents who won. That’s 15-0. A swing of 15 votes. President Trump also led to the ultimate demise of Speaker Dade Phelan, who killed school choice last session. (Dade was one of only 2 Republican no-votes on school choice in the House this week) Some people never learn. This Wednesday, President Trump called the Texas House Republican caucus before the vote, which picked up more votes for the bill. President Trump picked up 15-20 or even more votes by getting heavily involved in the battle for school choice in Texas. He’s made school choice the cornerstone of his America First agenda on education. On behalf of all of us in the school choice movement for so long, thank you President Trump for making it happen. You have changed education in Texas forever. #txlege
