@phoronix I can't game while training AI models :/ If only Steam made a Machine that would let me game while my main machine is busy crunching numbers. @dbrand do you know of any? Btw, my Steam Controller training data lacks any skins... If you would like it to work with skins... Send it!

@Qvixote_Roux @Dexerto @HardwareSteam @valvesoftware It's already a lot better. There is an emergency stop and less runaway controller issues. I added a signal meter to show how hard and slow camera-less operation would be. Working on the really hard stuff now.

@TegadisTegadat @Dexerto It does have an Inertial Measurement Unit, that would let it know where it was charging... but over a long gaming session it would probably drift too far to be accurate enough. Directional signal measurement and IMU use might be able to remove the camera requirement.

@Dexerto Probably also embedded a sensor in it for it to track back to charging

@yacineMTB @CyborgLavery @_Stocko_ You'd have to simulate the friction, trigger movement, touchpad taptic engine as well as the motors. There is a way to get reverse I think.

@AspaceN @Dexerto @HardwareSteam @valvesoftware This is not a Mercedes Benz. Running both motors at the exact same speed to try and go forward will often steer just as much as you move forward, in unpredictable ways. Luckily there is an IMU and Gyros that can help correct course.

The first involved adding Steam Controller support to moonlight, which took a lot more tokens to reverse engineer from the Steam Link Android app. I don't use Claude so my tokens are pretty cheap.

@patel_chint The controller has speakers. I want to try and send a PCM audio file to the controller and have it play a plug−in sound. There might be some limitation in WebHID that prevents this... its definitely possible when running locally.

@dorianmuthig @Dexerto @HardwareSteam @valvesoftware It did seem to strip the finish on the plastic... I don't see any damage on the desk. Rubber feet might drastically improve acceleration and handling.

@FossPrime @Dexerto @HardwareSteam @valvesoftware This seems wrong on so many levels… what does the abrasion on the bottom of the controller and your desk look like? How often can you do this before you notice visible scuffs, and further, how many days until the abrasion reaches a button?
