I feel sick seeing this. My heart is broken. Jewish cemetery in the UK vandalised as almost 50 headstones have been pushed over.

What you experience in the @novaexhibition is a cacophony of noise. Terrorists shouting in Arabic, frantic voices of partygoers, gunfire, horns beeping. There’s dust in the air and it feels claustrophobic. A tiny glimpse into the horrors of that day. Tiny and overwhelming.

Won’t someone think of the poor men who sell their daughters to be raped so that their sons get enough food. This is repulsive, even by BBC standards.

The women who were horrified by the rape, torture, and murder of Jewish people on October the 7th are now being called “pro-Israeli feminists” in some quarters. Rather than simply, say, feminists I think that’s interesting because it does rather assume that only those with specific political positions about a country, or a government, or the conflict, could possibly be vocally against the rape and murder of Jews that day And that does seem to be the assumption, at work, especially because this new moniker is (mostly) coming from those who were silent about what happened that October It ignores that some feminists have only developed a specific opinion about the Israel/Palestine conflict after October the 7th too. “Pro-Israeli feminist” tries to invert that relationship and downplays how the horrors of that event have shaped a lot of women’s understandings The atrocity galvanised many women. I know it galvanised me. So did the sudden silence of some of those claiming to be feminist When the victims of male violence were Jews they were not vocal at all. And, in fact, in some cases seemed far more instantly protective of how we speak about the perpetrators (A notable factor in issues like the rape gangs here, too. We cannot have these sacred groups of men that can’t be vociferously criticised. Whether because of “gender identity” or skin colour.) Somewhat bizarrely, this rhetoric is often from exactly the same people who are most vocal about the far right. It’s bizarre because they are seemingly unable to recognise an extreme religious fundamentalism as far right because of (some of) the adherents skin colour None of this changes that women and children in Gaza are also suffering through the male violence of Hamas, and through the war. A situation that won’t be solved by pretending the regime they currently live under is equivalent to a democracy (And a final thought; The recent claim that no group of men is worse than others, and that suggesting otherwise is racist, is simply absurd. Most people would agree that Nazi ideology produced more men willing to commit atrocities than men who were not Nazis because their ideology fuelled them. Extreme religious fundamentalism often fuels men into more coercive control, violence and misogyny too. Suggesting some groups of men are worse because of their current cultural values, or the ideology they follow, does not suggest that their skin colour matters. Or that they are the only men harming women and children. It merely suggests that their ideology is destructive in very specific ways)

CAA has been made aware of a violent assault that is believed to have taken place in Golders Green in the early hours of this morning. We understand that at approximately 02:00, a 22-year-old Jewish man stepped outside his apartment to make a phone call. While speaking Hebrew, he was allegedly targeted by five masked men who chased him, dragged him across the road and subjected him to a brutal assault. During the attack, the assailants reportedly tore his clothes, threw away his shoes and shouted abuse in Arabic. It is being said that the victim was left close to losing consciousness. Police were called by a neighbour who heard the disturbance, but the suspects fled before officers arrived and have not yet been identified. This comes just weeks after two Jewish men were stabbed in Golders Green and a series of arson attacks, and it is plain for all to see that Jewish lives are under threat in their own communities. We cannot wait any longer for real intervention against this horrific wave of violence against Britain’s Jews. We are in dire need of urgent action.
