@JacobHarrisSBI IDK if Latrell is a shooter or not, but videos like this show how much better these dudes are than your average Joe. Even the guys that arent allowed to shoot in games can make practice 3’s at a high rate. You can find videos of Ben Simmons hitting 10 in a row. Games is different

@40AcresBuilt @lonewolftacos @RossDellenger Funny thing is Texas Tech didn’t actually do this. The Tech grad judge recused himself, and the judge that granted the injunction lives 5 hours away and has no ties to Tech.

The Ohio judge who granted 15 athletes additional eligibility did not disclose his school “ties,” NCAA says in a statement to Yahoo. Chris Wagner is a graduate of Xavier & Cincinnati Law. His wife is a dean at UC Law. Five of the athletes are affiliated with Cincinnati/Xavier.

A judge has granted these 15 athletes in Ohio their injunction, permitting them an additional year of eligibility. The case was filed in the wake of the new age-based, 5-year policy. The injunction also grants the players an ability to transfer now outside of the portal window.

Analysts told us the stations appear to be selling gasoline at or below wholesale cost — before labor, credit card fees and other expenses. "You can't see these stations at these prices for long," one longtime fuel expert told us.

NEW: Trump promoted a brand-new gas station network offering discounts of up to 50¢ a gallon as a patriotic gift to Americans. There's just one problem: Almost nobody in the fuel industry seems to know who is behind it. @POLITICO tried to find out. 🧵

@_MaroonKoolAid The TTU defense was incredible. Got put in terrible situations over and over again with very little rest. Gave up some yards but showed up on 3rd and 4th down over and over again. Offense was absolutely horrible though.

I legitimately spit out my coffee bro 😂😂😂 Oregon: - Attempted 4 FG (3 inside the Tech 25) - Turned the ball over on downs twice inside the Tech 25 (one was on the Tech 2 YL) Texas Tech: - Crossed midfield 3 times - 10/12 of their drives ended in a 3 and out or a turnover
Preston Ŧ Long@STXAmbassador

It’s funny to me people constantly bring up the Oregon Game which was 23-0 . It was 13-0 in the 4th Tech was in the Redzone and turned the ball over . It’s not the dog walk people keep saying it was . The offense layed a turf no argument there , but the defense belonged .

@405pokefan I know an OSU fan isn’t complaining about a billionaire floating a college program. And I KNOW the guy in that picture is not talking about white trash. My goodness.

Texas Tech is what happens when white trash win the powerball. They gain a false sense of entitlement like they accomplished something when in reality they got lucky that a fat ass former player got lucky and gave them money. Like all white trash powerball winners they will end up broke and forgotten again in a few years

@Jackson43434374 @jlkurtz The fact that people still think the judge was local or compromised just blows my mind. Such strong opinions on something they’re willfully ignorant about.

@jlkurtz Yep, just go get get your own billionaire like Oregon and Tech did. Nice of Tech to blame the other schools for not keeping pace, instead of the only real issue of using a comprimised local judge to rule in favor of a player who gambled a ton of times on his team.

@chrisbrowningcr @DanIsett @SuaveJ20 Totally agree that it’s in big trouble. It’s ironic to me that Cody Campbell is the only individual that I’ve seen trying to spark sweeping changes to save it, yet so many that would be saved hate him. (I’m sure there are others I haven’t seen). youtu.be/hGyMcnm9ssk?is…

@DanIsett @FrankfromBilly @SuaveJ20 This gets into bigger issues. To start, I know everyone on Twitter has an answer but I don’t know how it should have been phrased. That said, cfb is in big trouble imo. The big/sec/espn/fox group are wrecking the game. The house settlement may stop the bleeding, but that’s it

I'm genuinely shocked at the number of Big XII fans and "content creators" who would rather the conference fall off into Oregon/Washington State-esque purgatory than heed Cody Campbell's point about competing financially with the other leagues, just because he went to Texas Tech.

@chrisbrowningcr @SuaveJ20 @DanIsett 👍 I think anti-CC group sees his comment as insinuating that effort is all that matters, and those defending him see his critics as saying that effort doesn’t matter at all, only luck. There is a middle ground. If CC didn’t care, he wouldn’t be encouraging others to improve.

@FrankfromBilly @SuaveJ20 @DanIsett 100% agree. The insinuation that it’s simply a matter of effort is where is disagree. Large donors matter (sports and politics). Tech at the moment will not have the cash Texas has, which is built into a lot of pieces, but not damning of tech

@chrisbrowningcr @SuaveJ20 @DanIsett I get what youre saying, but proactive fundraising is absolutely something that any AD/school can invest in and/or improve. I don’t know the specifics of each schools fundraising efforts, but neither do most on X. Assuming having a billionaire is the only way to improve is wrong.

@STXAmbassador I was at the game and that might have been the best defensive performance I’ve ever seen by TTU. The offense put them in horrible situations all game and they stood up over and over. The one TD they gave up until the last play of the game was a 10 yd drive. Offense was 💩 though

@ngslider @DanIsett I hear where you’re coming from and don’t agree that all schools can just “decide” to be better. 2 points: - Cody Campbell is efforting to help all schools with the challenge of the current environment. - Some are absolutely mad at TT for spending more. Ask my OSU coworker.

@DanIsett No one is “content” with their situation. Acting like every school has the money but just doesn’t want to spend is asinine. How can we “replicate” a highly involved billionaire ? I agree with Cody but no one is mad at tech for spending more money.

This is exactly the conflict in the conference right now: some schools are content with the status quo and are mad at Texas Tech for stepping up, when the real solution - the better solution - is for every school to replicate what Tech is doing.
Ross Dellenger@RossDellenger

Cody Campbell on the Fort Worth meeting: “We want to find a way to get all other Big 12 schools to elevate themselves. Everybody needs to do some version of what we've done. That's the path forward for this conference. A rising tide lifts all boats.”

@BrooksAustinBA @techntortillas Cody knows not everyone has donors willing to step up like he has, but he’s not wrong. Big 12 teams need more money. He’s working on solutions for all schools facing trouble right now with Saving College Sports. It’s wild to me that people hate him so much despite that fact.

@ZekeJameso1m7 @ChrisMWilliams Personally, I don’t know for sure that TTU is being treated unfairly, but it’s not totally unreasonable for some to feel that way, and @brettyormark has shown he has no interest in helping matters. If I had to guess, he hates Cody Campbell for his position on conf commissioners.

Texas Tech fans turning into Texas fans this quickly is one of the Big 12’s all-time great plot twists. Their reaction to the last few months has been wild. A once grounded and self-aware group, they now act above others, and have become what they once opposed.
