I am teaching Mathematical Physics next semester and I anticipate that I will give around 12-14 problem sets in the course. "Using AI to do the problem sets is analogous to building muscles by watching someone lift weights on TV." Does this analogy make sense?

Do birds trust men more than women? Scientists aren’t sure, but this study suggests they might. A recent study looking at 37 urban bird species across Europe found an unusual pattern: birds tended to take flight sooner when approached by women than by men. Researchers measured something called flight initiation distance, the point at which an animal decides a human has come too close and it’s time to escape. It’s a common way to understand how wildlife perceives risk. Across 2,701 observations in cities throughout the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain, scientists studied familiar urban birds like pigeons, crows, sparrows, magpies, and blackbirds. The result? On average, men were able to get about 1 metre (3 feet) closer before the birds flew away. This raises an interesting possibility: some birds may be able to distinguish between men and women. But the reason behind this behaviour remains unclear. Researchers suggest birds could be picking up on subtle cues, like body shape, movement patterns, posture, or even scent. However, experts caution that the findings are still early, and more research is needed to fully understand what’s going on. What makes this especially intriguing is that city birds live constantly among humans. Rather than simply ignoring us, they may be actively observing, learning, and making split-second judgments about who feels more or less threatening. Study: European urban birds flee approaching women sooner than approaching men (People and Nature)

There are two kinds of physicists in the world: Creationists and those who understand that quantum mechanics predicts a multiverse (albeit incompletely as we do not (yet) understand the quantum nature of spacetime).
