Another historic milestone. I was proud to kick off the final debate on the Canada Early Learning and Child Care Act in the House of Commons. Child care is a homerun, it is good for our economy, it is good for our families and it is good for our kids.
TO Council unanimously passed a motion calling on Ontario to "increase wages & benefits, comparable to positions in the public sector...for all staff in the early years & child care sector". Thank you @shelleycarroll and Councillors! Hope you are listening @sflecce! #WorthMore
In #SmithersBC with @nathancullen. We visited child care centres - in an old church, in a new school, in the Office of the Wet'suet'en & more. Always grateful for the chance to hear about the impact of child care on communities and to keep learning about the work still to do
