Mieter, die so tun, als hätten sie einen rechtlichen Anspruch auf das Eigentum von Dritten, widern mich an.
Jeder erwachsene Mensch in Deutschland trifft irgendwann in seinem Leben die aktive Entscheidung Mieter zu werden.
Und jeder Mieter muss jederzeit(!) damit rechnen, dass der Eigentümer auf sein Eigentum zugreift.
Ich war selbst jahrelang Mieter mit günstigem Altvertrag. Und habe jeden weiteren Monat als Geschenk angesehen.
Wer denkt, er hätte lebenslanges Anrecht auf günstige Miete in seiner Wunschwohnung, hat die Kontrolle über sein Leben verloren.

AI companies are purchasing large quantities of used and rare books. Scanning their contents to train models. Then turning the originals to pulp.
The sum of human thought, digitized and shredded.
Every book that gets scanned disappears from the physical world permanently. The knowledge survives only as training data inside a system no one can hold, browse, or resell.
What used to sit on a shelf for centuries now exists as weights in a model that might get deprecated next quarter.

a famous study said handwritten notes beat laptop notes. typing makes you transcribe instead of think. professors banned laptops over it. then two labs reran it, and the famous part fell apart:
1) no reliable difference on the quiz. 2019: no difference. 2021: no difference

A hairdresser with zero archaeological completely changed our understanding of Roman hairstyling tools because she tried reproducing hairstyles on Roman statues.
She couldn’t replicate the styles so she started going through Roman manuscripts using Google Translate to find references to tools. She discovered that Roman’s used bone needles to weave hairstyles like fabric…. Something Latin scholars with zero knowledge of hair styling missed
