WHAT a way to end a 14hr work day on the back of a 24hr travel day with @AaronOrendorff & @CurtisMatsko closing out the @9operators growth summit for 1000s of DTC leaders with @fulfilio. We reflected on three big themes coming out of the 3 hour event: SPEED - How to move with urgency - You can always be moving faster - Ask your team why something can't be done sooner (e.g. today or tomorrow) if you're talking in weeks or months EXPANSION - Consider different levers to pull (e.g. new brands, products, sales channels, warehouses, etc.) - Ensure you have cross-functional alignment with operations & finance when making growth bets DISPROPORTIANATE - How are you thinking BIGGER? - How are you making big bets and going after whales? - How are you thinking beyond doing existing things faster/cheaper and instead using AI as a force multiplier to accomplish things beyond your wildest dreams? Can you vibe code an ERP? Your general ledger? No. That needs to be battle-tested, not prompt-generated. But the custom UI an engraver uses 8 hours a day? The one that makes sure the right personalized wallet reaches the right customer? I've wanted a simpler/faster/cheaper way to build that for years. We used to build these as custom software on the Fulfil API. They worked great until they didn't. Why? Software decays, platforms sunset (looking at you Heroku), and nobody wants to maintain someone else's bespoke UI forever. So we just shipped micro-apps in Fulfil. You describe what you need to Claude. It connects to your Fulfil workspace, figures out the APIs, builds you a custom UI, and deploys it. Process changes? Tell Claude. New version rolls out. No dev tickets. No waiting 6 weeks for something that might be wrong anyway. The person who actually does the work can now build the tool they need.

Our power users are already using @fulfilio heavily from AI assistants like Claude and Claude code using MCP. It’s so exciting to see our team members and customers vibe code apps on top of Fulfil for their use cases. This has always been the best value prop of the 100% API coverage Fulfil has had, but always required developers and maintenance was hard. Now your assistants can build and maintain them. Our next version will make building apps even more easier. LLMs with an api key/mcp should be able to - fully explore the API - register oauth apps dynamically - use our design guidelines so your apps can use the same theme if you want to and build apps for you. Security with such apps is the risk. To reduce that risk surface, the apps will by default use your existing Fulfil login and inherits permissions.

You're right. I think to be successful in the AI agent era, software companies will need to be mindful of designing the AUI (Agent UI) just like they were about UI (for humans). Linear is a great example. It's why I use it -- because it was easy to integrate into our agentic workflow. On a related note: Just because I access linear via MCP (and other connectors) does NOT mean it makes Linear less valuable. Yes, I spend less time directly in the Linear "app" (human interface) -- but the net result is that Linear is more valuable for me and I'm less likely to remove it.

The @fulfilio Claude integration is so helpful. Feels like it replaces a 6 figure hire. Used it to compare product mix at one of our brands with very complex + high # of SKUs this year VS last year and it came back with the same explanation I would have arrived at, except in 2 minutes instead of ~30 minutes lol.

Here are 3 cool ways we're seeing @AnthropicAI's @claudeai and @fulfilio's MCP being used for quick data analysis and reporting by DTC operations & finance teams: 👉 A home goods brand using a 3-letter prompt in the Claude mobile app on the go to automatically pull info from Fulfil on how many shipments have been assigned to each 3PL location to quickly monitor the queue and follow up with 3PL locations as needed when backlogs are piling up. 👉 A pet goods brand running a quick analysis to see if weather patterns have impacted daily order volumes, average order value and types of products ordered. 👉 A sleep & bedding brand doing a basket analysis to see which products are commonly purchased together so they can put them beside each other in the warehouse to optimize picking speed. Heard from a DTC brand whose team walked into 1000s of pending orders after sales skyrocketed last weekend. Here's how they used AI to stay on top of the volume and save their week: 1- Batch Optimization They asked Claude to use Fulfil's MCP to look at the breakdown of single vs. multi-SKU orders to create optimized batches for picking. This then created optimal batches to streamline their picking & packing process and crush through the backlog of new weekend orders. 2 - Basket Analysis They did a basket analysis to see what was commonly purchased together so their team could put the products next to each other in the warehouse to save time for the rest of the week. 3 - Workflow Recommendations They then referenced their shift hours and number of employees alongside their warehouse layout, inventory levels and order volumes to get personalized workflows based on the volume of single-line, single-unit, 2+ SKU orders and 4+ SKU orders.
