That planning supports small Valley retailers, student-athlete NIL gear, and the overall game-day experience. We’ll roll with the blackout this week — temps are 72 and partly cloudy — and it’s going to look great in the daylight. Appreciate the feedback though, and keep bringing the energy. Fresno State announces that at 12 PM tomorrow, All Tailgates will be closed and end to make sure fans get into the stadium before kickoff.

Why does everything have to be about making the most money as possible? Make a hard pivot, fans will have white shirts already. Walmart and Amazon have white shirts for sale. I’m sure you can get thousands of white shirts printed within 5 days to pass out to fans as they arrive. That’s how you bring the spirit back, not staying with a failing plan.

We haven’t had a day game in 4 years, so when we planned the blackout theme, the odds of drawing a noon kickoff were pretty slim. Once we lock in a theme, we coordinate months ahead with our apparel partners, Kennel Marketplace, and Bulldog Locker to make sure it’s all aligned. Game time wasn’t announced until 6 days ago, which comes with our Conference TV partnership — it helps get us in national TV windows. We lobbied hard for 4pm but it didn't work out. And for what it’s worth, Saturday’s forecast is 72 and partly cloudy. #GoDogs
