Georgia welcomes the announced ceasefire between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and commends the effective mediation efforts that facilitated it. We hope this step will contribute to de-escalation and encourage continued diplomatic engagement to secure lasting peace and stability in the region.

We are closely following developments in Venezuela with the hope that future processes will unfold in line with the best interests of the Venezuelan people. Given that the Venezuelan authorities recognized Georgia’s occupied regions, Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia, as independent states in gross violation of international law, we express hope that recent developments will lead to the reversal of this unlawful decision, in line with Georgia’s national interests and international legal principles.

On 5 September, I had the honour to join the ceremonies of Denmark’s National Flag Day 🇩🇰—a moving occasion to pay tribute to the men and women who have served abroad in the Armed Forces, Police, Emergency Management, Health Service and Foreign Service, to honour the fallen, and to express gratitude to their families. I wish to extend special thanks to the Danish personnel serving in 🇬🇪 Georgia, whose contribution we deeply value. The day was marked with the solemn program of wreath laying, a memorial service at Holmens Kirke, a parade & a reception at Parliament @folketinget , attended by Their Majesties The King and Queen, the Prime Minister @Statsmin, the Speaker @SoerenGade , the Ministers of Defence @Troelslundp and Foreign Affairs @larsloekke , reflecting Denmark’s deep respect and recognition for their service and sacrifice, and served as a powerful reminder of 🇩🇰 commitment to international peace and security. @GEinDK @MFAgovge @DanishMFA
