Herne Hill Station ticket office is safe (for now) but without a staffed point of contact how will other disabled passengers access the network? Apps just aren’t reliable. It’s going to be like the police stations isn’t it. We’ll miss them when they’re gone
Helen Hayes 💙🌹@helenhayes_

The Tories have announced disastrous plans to close all but one of our train station ticket offices in Dulwich & West Norwood, impacting older & disabled people & railway staff Please help fight these plans. Details of how to help here helenhayes.org.uk/save_our_ticke… #SaveTicketOffices

So it’s not really consultation is it?
Paula Peters@paulapeters2

#SaveTicketOffices Consultation is not available in paper format, easy read, large print, BSL (British Sign Language. Audio version. Millions of disabled people & older people denied access to consultation on ticket office Closures as its on line & inaccessible @RMTunion

We’ve announced a consultation today – to be conducted by @LonTravelWatch - on the future of ticket offices. Our webpage has full details, including a Q&A: bit.ly/44ezhEQ

@Se_Railway @hernehillforum Yes you do and I thank you for it. @Se_Railway service at Herne Hill is really good. On arrival, I let the ticket office know where I’m going, they let staff know which platform I’ll use and they meet me there. The Passenger Assist app is unreliable and no substitute.

@GKFH @hernehillforum We already have a rigorous and popular process in place that is easy to use for those with accessible travel requirements, which we will continue to use/do. As a note, just to make you aware Herne Hill itself isn't part of the current proposal - this will be in the Autumn. ^CC

You still seem averse to answering the question. How will they know if there is a staff member on site or where they are?
Southeastern@Se_Railway

@hernehillforum We will continue to support customers with accessible travel needs. This will be with a combination of staff, mobile assistance teams, conductors, on-board managers etc. The Passenger Assistance app continues to be a vital asset to assist with all travel requirements. ^CC

@GKFH @hernehillforum @TLRailUK @LonTravelWatch Hi George. There are no changes to this. For stations that currently have a staffed ticket office that will close, we will retain staff at that location to carry out other duties including assistance. ^PR
