Greg, he explained it in the video. Here would be the CO2 savings according to Grok for 4000 people (4,137 tonnes CO₂), divide it down if you think that's too many. It's just math and common sense. Doesn't even include things like people that are visiting the city and now don't hire and use a car for a few days+.

Add to that move Billions of tax payers money into funds that can then be spent on his projects/companies/Brookfield with no parliament oversight. Also direct CCP money. Now they are talking about the airports that have revenues of millions a month. Billions for high speed train that isnt going to ever pay fornitself. Selling assets to China and USA ignoring legislation that bans it. Next theyll postpone or ban elections.

@chriswarkentin @lakecitygirl Brookfield buys distressed assetts, I believe Mark Carney is intentionally making many companies in Canada distressed in order for Brookfield to buy up as much as they can for Pennie's on the dollar. Brookfield will buy Canadian oil companies and start pumping oil. Oh, Canada!

You're quite right, it should read "$200 million money pit". Seriously though, why is is costing $20 Million a year of taxpayer money to lease when the company getting $20 Million is paying $2k a year for the lease to the province? Could be some reasons, which we as tax payers should be able to hear in this meeting. And questions like why not buy land, even in a better equator, for a space port?

@vincentneilho "$200 million gravel pit and which Liberal insiders are getting rich" So tired of Conservative MP's misinforming the general public. If they do this in opposition, one can just imagine what they would do if they formed government.

Sorry but this does mean he is an owner, its just technically true. And to a massive part. Additionally Mark Carney is reportedly entitled to performance-based "carried interest" (a form of bonus) from the Brookfield Global Transition Fund (BGTF I). As this fund works, he gets massive payments. Brookfield COO Justin Beber confirmed this.

@Gronk9797 @PierrePoilievre LOL. Carney held millions in stock options, yes. That makes him a wealthy former executive, not the owner of Brookfield. Owning shares does not equal owning a publicly traded company. By that logic, anyone with a retirement fund holding Brookfield stock is a corporate baron.

What makes @PierrePoilievre 's fabrication that Brookfield is "Carney’s company," striking is that even much of his own grifting low IQ influencer ecosystem hasn’t stooped this far into myth making. This is not the old Poilievre, the one who used to anchor his attacks in facts. What’s equally remarkable is that journalist @ReneeRodgersCTV offered virtually no pushback. No serious follow-up, no challenge, but she offers us a smile.
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

Pierre Poilievre: "I find it interesting. Mark Carney's company, which he still owns, Brookfield, has been called the biggest tax dodger in Canada. I think Mark Carney can afford to pay his taxes."

Ok, but can it say: How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? A woodchuck could chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can't chuck wood. But if a woodchuck could chuck and would chuck some amount of wood, what amount of wood would a woodchuck chuck? Even if a woodchuck could chuck wood, and even if a woodchuck would chuck wood, should a woodchuck chuck wood? A woodchuck should chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood, as long as a woodchuck would chuck wood. Oh. Shut up. .... and in Guybrush Threepwoods and the woodchucks voice!

Yeah I thought about this too. Sell the skid and even the FSD system (cameras computer) to others to make their bespoke cars from. Would have been useful for companies like Canada's Lion Electric to buy the Tesla truck skid to make buses from instead of wasting $480 Million and going bust. We love wasting tax money in Canada.

Another overpass hit in Langley, and the driver just keeps going. This bridge has been struck more than a dozen times since 2023, and nothing changes. Under the NDP, it keeps happening, damage, delays, zero deterrence, and now drivers are just walking away. Who is enforcing height checks? Where are the consequences? How many warnings before someone gets seriously hurt? Get serious about enforcement, real penalties, and stop this before the next strike turns into a tragedy.

@mario4thenorth Probably for the best, they could catch fire and we dont want bbq kids. Wasn't even the EV part, the hvac circuit boards could catch fire. Along with constant error codes, faulty wiring, parking brake failing, power steering failure. They couldn't make these normal parts work!

🚨 BREAKING EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin just exposed one of the biggest green energy scams. The Biden administration sent $160 MILLION to Lion Electric, a QUEBEC-based company, to build 435 electric school buses. They delivered roughly 100. Then went bankrupt. 55 school districts across America are still waiting on $95 million in buses that will never arrive. All the warranties? Voided. Every purchase order outside Quebec? Now Cancelled. Schools are going back to diesel. Here’s what makes it worse: Lion Electric had already lost $301 MILLION since 2020. Their stock crashed from $33.48 to $0.08. The SEC slapped them for misreporting financials. The EPA sent $82.7 million just TWO WEEKS after Lion reported a $17.2 million quarterly loss. Nobody checked. And it’s not just America getting fleeced. Quebec gave Lion $177 million CAD in subsidies. Ottawa added $30 million more. Canadian investors bought the bankrupt shell for $6 million. Over $400 million in combined US and Canadian taxpayer money. Gone. Nobody has learned anything from the EV green grift. Our taxes pay for this. On both sides of the border. Ridiculous. x.com/WallStreetApes…

@chrisfromdurham @MarkJCarney What?! There is no deal yet with India. There is a roadmap to "Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)" maybe by the end of the year (a deal agreement). Which aims to double bilateral trade to $70 billion by 2030. That's it. And its oil and LNG (no pipelines!)
