I’m sick of people trying to gaslight everyone by telling them “we’ve always had fires in Alberta.” Of course, we’ve always had fires. But the last few years are off the charts. I grew up here. The average used to be 12 HOURS of smoke cover in a summer. Now it’s days and weeks.

They might not be calling it a "hunt", but recent moves by @dtloewen allow for public killing of bears. This won't resolve conflict. It will result in more dead bears. There is no data to support this and it goes against the Provincial Grizzly Bear Recovery Plan.

I had forgotten this. Not just best in Canada, AHS, was one of the top 5 in the WORLD! This was not ranked by amateurs or home schooled know-it-alls, but by professionals. AHS was world leading - and it is now being torn apart by barbarians. We should be ashamed.

@GRCurrie They won’t. They apparently just gave the company i had a new multi year contract even though they had many complaints from the case workers and supervisors for years. Lowest bidder.

I met a lot of women working in home care in Alberta recently. My wish on #InternationalWomensDay is that they get a UNION that will fight for MUCH higher pay, better benefits, mileage, overtime, PD & advancement opportunities, the PPE they require, & time to do their job well.

There are better precautions against lice than Covid-19. Uphill battle against misinformation begins with the very agencies and institutions that should be following and advocating for evidence based science, but don’t.
