I’ve never seen such a disconnect between the commentary on this site and what I hear in the real world. I’ve talked to dozens of normal conservatives in real life about the Iran War and I haven’t met a single one who’s actually enthusiastically in favor of it. At best they’re warily optimistic. In most cases they’re opposed. In some cases they’re not only opposed but deeply furious. And yet here if you utter a word of criticism about the war you’ll be shouted down by throngs of alleged American conservatives who allegedly have wanted nothing more than for America to go to war with Iran. It just doesn’t reflect what I see on the ground. That’s not just cope because my position is unpopular with “my side.” I’ve held plenty of unpopular positions. I really don’t care. But in this case the social media vs real world divide is stark and unlike anything I’ve seen before.

For all my Corbynite friends and X followers - and I have many of both. I genuinely like and admire Jeremy, but caution in the face of the Zionist lobby has been his Achilles heel. Nobody is perfect. Least of all me. But see the difference:

On a recent @joerogan episode, @ComicDaveSmith talked about misinformation on Iran, but ended up spreading several misleading and one-sided claims. As an Iranian, I fact-checked just 3 minutes of what he said and it was already disappointing. Here’s a breakdown 🧵

Imagine you had to choose your life at age 40: Option A: Single. No kids. $50M net worth. 850 credit score. Private jet. Option B: Married. 2 kids. $3M net worth. Drive a Toyota. 10 BTC in cold storage. 500 credit score. Fly Southwest. Be honest, which life are you choosing?

@ImWatson91 @CAMELCASTOff Everybody’s libido is “different”? Some just don’t want it for 5 years? Uh huh.

@CAMELCASTOff This is ridiculous. I'm not celibate, yet I've gone long periods of time without sex. Yes, including years. Everyone's libido is different, and changes for a multitude of reasons, that doesn't mean she's having a fucking affair.

One of my roughest memories is my gym buddy venting to me about his wife. He said that him and his wife hadn't had sex in 5 years. I asked if she ever goes anywhere for days. He said yeah, her cousins house every weekend. I asked him if she's celibate. He said no. I just paused and stared at him. Watching him do the math and have the realization was rough. I watched the light leave his eyes in real time.

There's basically no difference between this and the exact same kinds of "dumb spring breaker" videos you'd see 10 years ago or 20 years ago or 30 years ago. I actually don't mind the fact that a bunch of 18 and 19 year old kids are totally ignorant about world affairs. That's healthier than obsessively doomscrolling alone in your basement or whatever. The problem is that these kids can vote. We should all just agree that 19 year olds are stupid and don't know anything, and that's basically fine, but it's also why they shouldn't be able to vote. Raise the voting age to 25.

@yashar Did you actually listen to the clip? It’s completely misrepresented in the caption. They don’t even mention Israel a single time. To call this a “disaster” is a bit hysterical. In fact I agree with what they’re saying.

Recording draft profiles with @nickfalato later for Big Blue Banter YT and podcast feed.. I gotta say it: the more I watch the more I like Tate man. He’s got the stuff I love in bigger frame WRs: insane body control, ball tracking and he attacks it with his hands. Plus he’s a technician with his route running. You know me — I hate the idea of pouring top 5 into a sub 200 football player who doesn’t play in the trenches unless I think he’s going to be All Pro (see: I wanted Malik Nabers at 6 and never wavered) but Tate is growing on me. He’s not Nabers level but he’s a damn good football player.

Are you f*cking serious? I’m literally living in exile because of what happened to me on this platform. It already cost me two jobs. And now you’re telling me I’m basically getting punished again because my audience isn’t in my “home region”? So what exactly are people like me supposed to do? Just disappear?

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

@dabmarino420 @JoelWBerry Ok so why are so many of their people flocking to our cities? Why are there like a billion Muslims in London now if it’s so great where they come from? Oh could THEY be degrading our cities with their complete lack of respect for the people and places that have taken them in? Hmm

@NYK_Mentality85 @KCamine33 Come on, man. Hakeem and Shaq dominated him and so did Jordan. Even Smits and the Davis boys gave him trouble. 7 footer shooting fadeaway jumpers. I like Pat, I rooted for Pat, but he wasn’t equipped to be the #1 option on a championship team.

Gtfo of here. Patrick Ewing unlike Michael Jordan never played with multiple #HOF beasts like Scottie Pippen and then Dennis Rodman. Give Michael Jordan John Starks (1x All-Star) and Charles Oakley (1x All-Star) but give Patrick Ewing both Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman and not even MJ23 could've beat Patrick Ewing.

I wish the 1991-1992 #Knicks had a chance to Run-It-Back. C: Patrick Ewing. PF: Charles Oakley. SF: Xavier McDaniel. SG: Gerald Wilkins. PG: Mark Jackson. 6th Man: Anthony Mason. 7th Man: John Starks. (51 Wins) • Eliminated Detroit in 5 (3-2) against Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Dennis Rodman and Bill Laimbeer. • Took Chicago 7 Games and lost 3-4 against Michael Jordan/Scottie Pippen/Horace Grant/Bill Cartwright + B.J. Armstrong. But then we never had an opportunity to run-it-back after taking Chicago 7 games because... ~ Mark Jackson was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers for Charles Smith and Doc Rivers. ~ X-Man signed with the Boston Celtics during the Offseason as a Free Agent. ~ Gerald Wilkins signed in the Offseason with the Cleveland Cavaliers as a Free Agent (would've loved to see him coming off the bench for the 1992-1993 season). New York got deprived of not being able to witness that 1991-1992 squad Run-it-Back.

@NYK_Mentality85 @KCamine33 Problem is Ewing always came up small when he matched up with guys like Hakeem or Shaq. Ewing was the problem. He had a good mid range game but he lacked the quickness to deal with those guys. We were built to win 50 games and lose in the 2nd or 3rd round.

We were just as elite as Orlando during the 1994-1995 season. Orlando: 57-25. New York: 55-27. We played them 5x and went 2-3 against them. We got eliminated by Indiana in game 7 (lost by 2 Points) and Orlando got swept 0-4 against the Rockets who we took 7 games the year before. I would've loved to see an Orlando vs. New York with Patrick Ewing vs. Shaquille O'Neal Playoff Series that year.

@M_A_RoZaY @nickfalato You’re spot on. This genius is trotting out Norman Finkelstein, an eternal piece of human excrement who’s made a career of calling Israelis “Nazis” and most recently made his mother proud by denying the sexual violence committed by Hamas on October 7. One of Nicky’s heroes.
