The man you see here, Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi, the deputy president Buganda of NuP and also former MP for Butambala. On the night of January 15–16, 2026, the military, with the help of the RDC, DPC, and other security officers in the area, raided the residence of Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi and deliberately shot dead over seven people. According to Gen. Mu7 and representatives of the Uganda Police Force, notably Katonga Region Police Spokesperson Lydia Tumushabe, the victims had pangas and attacked the police. However, all the killings took place at the home of Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi. To make matters worse, Hon. Muwanga Kivumbi was arrested together with his election agents, and they have now spent months in prison, while those accused of carrying out the killings continue to move freely. Justice delayed is justice denied. The cowardly regime killed our people and put the blame on Hon Muwanga Kivumbi and the rest of the people. SHAME

#Abduction😢 It's 4 years now, since our comrade Hon. Angulibo Siraj the @NUP_Ug coordinator and former MP aspirant for Yumbe District in 2021 was abducted and is still being held illegally at Kigo prison without facing a fair trial. Comrade Siraj was abducted from Yumbe by the partisan @MODVA_UPDF while conducting @NUP_Ug party activities of mobilisation of willing and able individuals in the party structure to contest for elective local Gov't positions, he was then brought over night to Kampala where the kakistocratic Gov't of usurper @KagutaMuseveni cooked up #fake treason charges against him and started parading him unlawfully before the #CourtMartial, he has since then been remanded to Kigo prison to date. Comrade Siraj is a good man and for the time i have been in the political space, i can proudly tell you at he made our work very easy in Yumbe District. The last time i met him when i visited Yumbe District, he had a new bouncing baby boy besides his other 3 children. As of now his wife left claiming she couldn't wait, the burden of raising the kids have been left to his single father. Everything is just messed up. @MODVA_UPDF @PoliceUg you bring evidence for whatever charges you have against him, you can't just grab someone's son or husband and throw them behind bars for no reason. Don't attack me on this. It actually coming from a concerned NUP supporter. After naming the leader of opposition and shadow cabinet, it means we agreed to work in his govt. So if we legitimize his govt, can't we negotiate for our brothers and sisters in prison? Not my opinion
