I think a number of clubs don't promote themselves or have a significant media presence, even Harps don't have ambitions of reaching outside of Ballybofey. Community connection is key and a number of these clubs don't seem to bother making themselves try seem like a representive of their county or region.

@GallagherDess @Brush19062000 Hi Des. Many clubs are faking their attendance figures so you cant rely on those numbers. Longford Treaty and Athlone worst offenders.

There are a number of clubs in the second division that do fairly well attendance wise, the midlands needs a serious shake up - Athlone and Longford seem to lag behind everyone else (UCD are a special case), Kerry are bringing in more fans and they're not even in the league 4 full years yet. I think a third tier will make things more interesting for first division sides trying to stay up and not just let their season peter out. More clubs could bring a bit more standard and depth also.

@BohsPhoenix I often wonder why the FAI want a third tier...surely they should be assisting clubs in the First Division to get stronger.
