In the best case scenario, Trump struck a deal to reopen a Strait that was open before the pointless war he started, with the IRGC demonstrating its control over the Strait and potentially extracting fees plus sanctions relief. Thousands of innocents - including hundreds of children - dead in Lebanon and Iran for no reason. U.S. troops killed and wounded. U.S. embassies and bases in the Middle East badly damaged. U.S. standing in the world obliterated. U.S. munitions badly depleted. Hundreds of billions spent. Prices up everywhere. More global economic fallout to come. Putin strengthened and enriched. Just a catastrophic situation even in the best of circumstances. A profoundly shameful episode in American history no matter what happens next.

Oh, this is unbelievable. The edit history on this tweet shows that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif originally copied and pasted everything he was sent, including: "*Draft - Pakistan's PM Message on X*" Now, obviously, Sharif's own staff don't call him "Pakistan's PM," they would just call him prime minister. The U.S. and Israel, of course, would call him "Pakistan's PM." Would be funny if the fate of the world wasn't hanging in the balance.

@FogartyJack TMO came in when it wasn’t clear and obvious, and was pretty vociferous in his ‘advice’ to the ref. I’m a neutral - Cardiff fan - just thought it was an awful call. Good luck in the rest of the competition

@GarethMacG Ref makes the call. Not the TMO, ref has every right to rule it as flat and he took very little time to decide, therefore must have been pretty easy to make the call. There's nothing wrong with what they did, people just have their own opinions

I am DELIGHTED with Ben Thomas there. Giving a pen away doesn’t matter at that point. But for the ref not to check that is staggering. The hilarity of him saying ‘The TMO doesn’t have the pictures’ as it gets flashed up on the screen.
