@ClevelandClinic Global EP Summit 2024 Day - 2 concluded with 6 sessions summarized as follows: - Conduction system Anatomy: Master session by Dr.@shivkumarmd based on his book "Atlas of Interventional Electrophysiology", a must have - LBB pacing & AVN ablation simultaneously: It's safe & feasible.AVN ablation in uncontrolled AF confers mortality benifit. @RChung_EP - Lead extractions: Routine use of ICE during extraction is of great value. IJ approach is underutilized & in complex extractions IVC approach can be a life saver. Most complications during extraction happens at SVC, innominate vein & Rt atrium. @rdschaller - Updates on VT at CCH : CLEAR VT/PVC registry updates coming in HRS 2025 @Dr_Santangeli - AI & Big Data in EP: Being developed for early A.fib detection, SCD prediction, reducing false alarms in hospital monitoring & inappropriate ICD shocks @DrJustinZLee - Cardioneuroablation Debate: Ablation works but in very specific patient population @Dr_Santangeli - Ended with very interesting case based discussions. Congratulations to two of our star fellows, Dr @HolahanBrian & Dr @sjacobs163 for showcasing their remarkable athleticism in the Boulder Beast! Finishing 10th and 11th in this challenging 25k trail race is no small feat—an inspiring achievement! Bravo!🥳

Conference #ACCFIT #EPeeps 👨🏽‍🔬 @ClevelandClinic Global EP Summit 2024 Day-1 concluded with 5 sessions. My summary is as follows: -AFib & PFA: Biphasic better than monphasic because later causes more micro bubbles and skeletal muscle activation -PFA side effects : coronary vasospasm, kidney injury, worsening Pulm HTN. -AFib in Athletes: PVI is a better option -LAAO: OPTION trial 1st NOAC vs. watchman coming in AHA 2024. Novel devices to reduce DRT in development -VT ablation: VT recurrence post ablation is due to failure of either mapping or ablation. Radiation ablation of VT an option -VF ablation: substrate modification in SHD being studied Was a great learning experience by hearing directly from leaders in the field. @omwazni @Dr_Santangeli @DrRoderickTung @aymanhusseinmd
