@Top100Rick Come now. I've carried two marks forever. A large one easy to and use, plus a small one to use when I think/know I will be near someone's line. With those tiny-flat marks, by the time it's my turn to putt, I have to send out a search party to find it. 🤣

Hot take: Only flat ball markers should be used on the golf course. The rest are collectibles. Only the bottom 4 should be on a green. Big markers need to be moved all the time and just slow down the game. Flat markers very rarely need to be moved. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to show off cool ball markers every chance I get. But not worth having to hear “Can you move that” 5 times a round.

@KevinCaseyGC @ByronYork Maybe you should use the google thing and see if the PGA Tour maybe signed some new broadcasting agreements in 2022.

On the death of LIV: Perhaps now top PGA Tour players can express their appreciation to LIV for the dramatically higher post-LIV purses on the PGA Tour. Winner's purse at the Arnold Palmer Invitational went from $1.67m in 2021 to $4m in 2025. The Genesis, $1.67m to $4m. The Players, $2.7m to $4.5m. Why did that happen? Competition. LIV failed, but it put a lot of money in the bank accounts of successful PGA Tour players.

@RealJohnDennis @ByronYork The PGA Tour signed a new, much richer, broadcasting agreement in 2022. They didn't suddenly 'find' anything. The purses were already set to increase.

@jnottah @end3of6days9 The wife and I learned real quick in Colorado to not just take any “scenic” road. Skyline ridge road was one that gave me fear of heights

A guy takes his girl with him up Black bear pass in Colorado. She really freaks out and tells him " Don't Joke" Pray " 😁 The gravel road cut into the side of a mountain, with many switchbacks and sheer cliff drop-offs, the road is rough and narrow, in many places its good to have a spoter. Could you do it ?

There have been many mishaps and unserious moments in women's golf over the years. I don't think I'm being hyperbolic in saying this stupid pool takes the cake. Gives away all of the positive momentum from the move to Memorial Park. Just a completely asinine decision.
Joseph LaMagna@JosephLaMagna

Next major up: the Chevron Championship at Memorial Park in Houston, where they’ve installed a 4-foot deep pool on No. 18 to continue the tradition of the winner jumping into water 🥴🥴🥴

@megadkins_TFE Doesn’t need to be taken so seriously. It’s out of the way of the hole. It’s not going to impact anything. Everyone needs to just chill and enjoy the tournament.

@artstricklin @megadkins_TFE The tradition is jumping into Poppy's pond, at Mission Hills. This is a contrivance; concocted by marketing types, working for clueless execs, who sell products to captive consumers. This is pure idiocy. I hope that the next winner doesn't jump and explains this to Chevron

@JosephLaMagna The tradition is jumping into Poppy's pond at Mission Hills after winning the torunament. It is NOT jumping into water after winning the tournament at different golf course because the sponsor hates California.

@3braincellbitch @nut_history Yeah - Thanks. I checked MLB stats a few weeks later and the date didn't match. But it was Coor's Field and it was pre-seasons/after spring training exhibition game. The ROX and Mariners played them for a few years.

@GeoffJordan5 @nut_history Ichiro didn't make his debut in mlb until 2001, he only had 5 hits in a game 7 times, only 4 of those times he had 5 singles, 2008 vs padres, 2007 vs angels, 2004 vs angels, 2004 vs white sox. Whoever you saw hit 5 singles it wasn't ichiro

11 seconds ⏱️ That's all the time it took Lee Trevino from pulling a club to hitting his tee shot on the 12th hole at Augusta. (And he nearly holed it!)

@chaplainjoel @OleTimeHardball Nope. Not peak Bench. Bench eventually developed shoulder issues. But he had a cannon and shut down the entire run game of other teams from 68-76.

Follow-up to Lydia Ko making 12 birdies in a single round yesterday. What is your personal best for birdies in a round? And what is your longest birdie streak? Mine is 7 birdies (twice). My longest streak of birdies is 3 in a row, many times.

@Cutterthecaddie Taught this to the young bucks at my club. After a long hot round where I won a good press we get to the bar. One kid says hey pawds..what's your venmo. Very slowly I turned and looked him in the eye. "Do I look like I take venmo?" Those boys carry cash every weekend now

CUTTER'S COUPLE FROM CHINA So today Cutter gets the random job and it's a couple from mainland China. During introductions, the wife seemed to speak more English than her husband and the husband did convey to Cutter that his English is not good. Cutter returned the remark by saying "your English is better than my Chinese". The round was filled with 'rossed' balls(lost) and 'sank you's(thank you) and Cutter even Rodney King'd the husband on the 3rd hole(overclubbed). As the husband launched his pitching wedge over the green, Cutter said "you caught a flyer!" Husband replies quizzically "a fryer?" Translation was rough throughout the day... ...until after the round, and in perfect unbroken English, the husband says "hey Cutter, do you have Venmo?" What the hell...

@OleTimeHardball Yasiel Puig I saw Dewey, Parker, Mondesi, Guerrero, Ichiro - IMO, Puig tops all I never saw anyone throw as hard and on target; running left, right, backwards etc... It's easy to throw hard when you are waiting under a pop-fly. Puig could do it from a dead run at all angles
