President Ruto should stop dismissing Kenyans with polished GDP figures, fake growth numbers and fake hustler narratives. Almost every Kenyan has a story of a relative, friend, or neighbour who was stable two or three years ago but is now struggling to survive. He should leave the podium, go to the ground, and see the real economy....shops closing because rent cannot be paid, businesses dying because customers have no buying power, families skipping basics, and young people losing hope. Go to CBD for instance and see empty shops and stalls. This tough-headed dismissiveness is exactly what pushed the country into the deadly Finance Bill crisis. Kenyans pleaded, warned, protested, and still the government behaved like citizens were the problem. By the time the climbdown came, families were mourning. The fact that Oscar Sudi and the people around him are doing well does not mean the economy is okay. Their wealth is not Kenya’s economy. The real economy is in the kiosks, salons, workshops, farms, markets, rental houses, and homes where people are quietly breaking. Ruto must stop lecturing hungry people about growth. A country is not doing well because those around power are eating. A country is doing well when ordinary people can breathe.

The capitation crisis in Kenya’s education sector started under Uhuru Kenyatta, not President Ruto. Uhuru’s government promised secondary schools Ksh 22,244 per student in 2018. This was presented as a big achievement, but the budget was never provided. Schools only received about Ksh 17,000 per learner. It was an unfunded political promise. The payment system was also changed during Uhuru’s time. In 2019, the government moved from term-based payments (matching the school calendar) to quarterly payments tied to the national financial year. This caused chronic delays that began long before 2022. At the same time, the 100% transition policy dramatically increased secondary enrollment, from about 1.3 million to 3.6 million students. However, capitation funding did not rise to match this growth. The system was overloaded. Primary schools were neglected too. The capitation rate only rose slightly from Ksh 1,020 to Ksh 1,400 over nine years, despite high inflation. There was no regular review or adjustment of capitation rates. Funding stayed frozen even as student numbers exploded, costs rose, and inflation reduced the value of money. This was sustained negligence. By 2022, when Uhuru left office, many schools already had huge arrears and a broken funding system. The current government inherited this mess. It has improved the consistency of fund disbursements, but the deeper problems ,underfunding, poor planning, and lack of policy adjustments remain. Real solutions need honest recognition of past failures and a funding model that matches actual enrolment and costs. Facts must guide the reforms.

@JuliusKBitok Current Knut and kuppet leadership are the worst, right now they should mobilizing for a national strike, but they are already in bed with the oppressors. A whole PS justifying 95bob capitation is the highest level of insult to the Education sector which he holds.

1. The approved Capitation for primary school is capped at Ksh 1,400 per year. The funds are usually released by the National Treasury to the Ministry of Education on termly basis in the ratio of 50:30:20. 2. The capitation amount is arrived at based on clear expenditure lines (vote heads) that are determined by estimated costs incurred by EACH learner. 3. Upon receipt of the money, and based on the exact amount received, MoE releases the funds with an accompanying circular detailing the expenditure breakdown (vote heads). 4. The figures in reference to the circular are based on this practice. 5. In summary, MoE wishes to clarify the following: • MoE determines how much money is allocated to each vote head based on the total amount of capitation received from the National Treasury • Capitation funds are released on three phases corresponding to the school calendar terms • The circular in reference is based on the 2nd term tranche as received from National Treasury. • The amounts shown are per learner, not per school -The KSh 95.25 PER LEARNER is for learning materials only (books, stationery, etc.) -The KSh 93.08 PER LEARNER for school operations (staff, maintenance, utilities, exams) @EduMinKenya @_BasicEdu

@Just_Makkie @JuliusKBitok Stop being a retard, what do you expect 95bob for the entire term do, the entire amount in a local primary school of 100learners is 9500, that can barely pay a security guard in a month. The PS should just tell Kenyans the truth, free education is no more.

This is not the first delegation to visit Statehouse. Several of such are held every week. Such an event with everyone walking away with an envelope will cost nothing less than 100 million. After these delegate visits, he'll go back to their counties in the name if “development” rally just to ask them the same thing he was asking them today “Watu Ya Kirinyaga nyinyi Mnasemaje” just for him to hear Tutam to satisfy his ego. In those raylly, he'll spend not less than 50 million for mobilization & theatrics. Every single day we are wasting hundreds of millions just for optics and fake popularity impressions. Any sane President wouldn't waste all this kind of money when a Cancer machine has broken down and remains non-functional for months at KNH? In education, schools are bleeding as a result of reduced capitation. CBE is on its knees because public junior schools don't have laboratories, ICT labs or even sports facilities. When will the president work for the people. His predecessors never wasted money like him. This is one of the reasons why Statehouse is requesting billions of money every single time. It doesn't matter if you're pro government or anti government, this man needs to be told the truth. This country is bleeding & Kenyans are suffering. Why can't he work for Kenyans & stop wasting money on BULLSHIT!!

Kenya deserves leaders of integrity, not endless controversy. @rigathi Gachagua rose to high office under a cloud of serious corruption allegations involving billions of shillings. Even the courts have questioned the source of his wealth. But this story did not begin there. In 1997, he was dismissed from the civil service while serving as a District Officer in Laikipia over gross misconduct. A matter he has never fully explained to the public. In July 2021, he was arrested by the DCI at his Nyeri home over allegations of money laundering and abuse of office, tied to vast sums of money flowing through accounts associated with him. Even within his own family, disputes have spilled into the open. Relatives of the late Nyeri Governor, Nderitu Gachagua, have raised concerns over the handling of a multibillion-shilling estate. Claims that remain contested, but serious enough to demand clarity. Then came the unthinkable. For the first time in our history, a sitting Deputy President was impeached by constitutional institutions over violations of oath, divisive rhetoric and conduct deemed unfit for office. This is a pattern that raises urgent questions: Can we trust leadership weighed down by persistent integrity concerns? Can a nation unite under divisive politics? Can accountability mean anything if we ignore such a record? I have challenged the impeached former Deputy President to state clear facts and stand firmly on integrity. If he wishes to lecture the nation, he must be ready to answer every question, not just the convenient ones.
