🧾 Receipts: Ilhan Omar’s original last name was Elmi before it was changed. This evidence was available, but the Obama Justice Department refused to investigate. Her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and their father, Nur Said Elmi (also known as Nur Omar), used multiple names across different countries. Part of the family fled to the United Kingdom, while Ilhan Omar and others entered the United States under their father’s assumed name, “Omar.” These name changes and split identities were used to conceal the father’s true war crimes and identity. Marriage details: • Groom: Ahmed Nur Said Elmi • Bride: Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (real name Ilhan Elmi) Extradition? @TheJusticeDept @DHSgov @WhiteHouse

Couple comes in for their annual review. $2.8 million. Well invested. Solid Pension. Completely on track. I ask the question I ask everyone. "How is your daughter doing?" Mom's face changed first. Their daughter is 39. Hasn't asked for anything. Never complained. But she's been in the same apartment for six years. Daycare alone is $1,800 a month. Down payment feels impossible. Dad said "we always figured she'd get it eventually." I pulled up a simple chart. Statistically they live to 88. She inherits at 56. Maybe 60. At 60 her own retirement is eight years away. The money that could change everything at 39 arrives when her finish line is already close. Neither of them had ever seen it framed that way. The annual gift exclusion is $19,000 per parent per child. They can move $38,000 a year to her. No gift tax. No estate implications. Over ten years that's $380,000 transferred while they're healthy enough to watch it matter. Dad looked at his wife. "Why are we waiting?" Most families leave everything at death because nobody showed them the math of giving it while they're alive.

If we really wanna dig into it we can also talk about Betty and Faye being across from each other on the axis as the two blonde women Don loved and failed outside of Anna (who hangs over this season); Betty, the image of nostalgia; Faye, a woman ahead of her time.

@burkov This is fascinating. I communicate context first naturally and I’ve always thought second answers were better than the first ones. Chalked it up to anecdote though because I’m a casual user.

LLMs process text from left to right — each token can only look back at what came before it, never forward. This means that when you write a long prompt with context at the beginning and a question at the end, the model answers the question having "seen" the context, but the context tokens were generated without any awareness of what question was coming. This asymmetry is a basic structural property of how these models work. The paper asks what happens if you just send the prompt twice in a row, so that every part of the input gets a second pass where it can attend to every other part. The answer is that accuracy goes up across seven different benchmarks and seven different models (from the Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, and DeepSeek series of LLMs), with no increase in the length of the model's output and no meaningful increase in response time — because processing the input is done in parallel by the hardware anyway. There are no new losses to compute, no finetuning, no clever prompt engineering beyond the repetition itself. The gap between this technique and doing nothing is sometimes small, sometimes large (one model went from 21% to 97% on a task involving finding a name in a list). If you are thinking about how to get better results from these models without paying for longer outputs or slower responses, that's a fairly concrete and low-effort finding. Heavyweights was released 31 years ago. Ben Stiller improvised many of Tony Perkis’ lines, including his obsessive motivational rants. His performance was so unhinged that it turned a Disney kids movie into a cult comedy fans still quote decades later.

@ChefGruel I have one and it’s a great toilet. Cheap too. Slap a bidet on it and you’re still well under $1000 for something equal to a Japanese toilet.

How and why are Real IDs so functionally useless? Whether it’s illegals getting REAL ID CDLs or them being useless for voting. What a colossal waste of time/resources they are.
Congressman Brendan Boyle@RepBrendanBoyle

Hi @sethjoyner - I’m a big Birds fan who grew up watching you play and happy to explain. The SAVE Act requires a current passport (which most voters lack and costs $$) or a birth certificate (which some lack access to, and married women would have to get updated) to vote.

@IRVINGNAK @sethjoyner Elderly cannot get social security without ID. Disabled people can’t get disability benefits without ID. Students cannot go to college without verifying their identity. Every single example you used is nonsense. Bigotry of low expectations. You are a shitty person.

@sethjoyner Take the L Seth. Voting is a fundamental right. Elderly voters, people with disabilities, students, are some of the folks that lack ID’s and underlying documents. Passing a law that targets extremely rare cases of fraud and is practically nonexistent, is restricting a right

I usually stay away from politics, but this is simply common sense! Can we as an American citizen go to another country and partake by voting, in said countries elections? You need an ID for everything in life! Am I missing something here??? By 5 votes?? I'd love for someone to explain why a congressman/woman would vote no?
America@america

BREAKING: The U.S. House has passed the SAVE America Act by a 218–213 vote, sending it to the U.S. Senate. The bill would require Voter ID and citizenship verification to cast a ballot in elections.

Right?! It screams 2016 style YouTube video in your bedroom. I always try having the least amount of cuts possible, and if I have to cute, I try to overlay a pic or something so it appears seamless. I think she just gets in front of camera and comically rants and then just edits the shit out of it to be one long intense rant that really wasn’t that coherent until she edited.

I hate grifter culture. I hate commentator culture. I hate the way you guys have these stupid smirks as if you’re so clever but you’ve never had a real hard working job in your life, you’ve been handed everything on silver platter & now you speak as if you’re some authority on anything with your stupid half laughing talking like it’s a 2016 YouTube video & your fake ass energy. You’d be way more authentic if you smoked some weed. Oh wait, your genetics have mental issues, keep the weed for us non-mental people who can expand our minds.

What does your point have to do with anything I said? You are very stupid. I agree it costs too much. Your precious Obamacare was supposed to fix it. Those with a brain knew it would fail at lowering costs. And terrorist lovers like you don’t get to call others “lobotomized by propaganda.” You believe what inbred kid fuckers say about Israel. Doesn’t get any dumber than you.

James’ six kids are now without their father. In the last two years, he had to sell his Dawson’s Creek memorabilia to help pay for his cancer treatment. His castmates had to put on a show to help cover his medical expenses. There was absolutely no reason Sony Pictures (which owns Dawson’s Creek) couldn’t have quietly paid for his treatment, considering how much the show has made for them over the years, long after it ended. Now his wife, Kimberly, is a widow with six children. I realize she may be better off than some, but it’s still a pretty awful situation given how much money the show generated.

It’s work, alright. Poor work at that. Not sourced. No real numbers. When you commit a disproportionate amount of crime the same will follow for exonerations. City specific data is available, too. And it’s not good. I grew up right next to Philadelphia. And I’ve watched THOUSANDS of hours of cop body cam footage. Next you’ll tell me not to believe my lyin eyes. You are a retard.

@kurtzjd @AnnaCinWV @yashar Tens of millions of people who shouldn’t be here in the first place putting a strain on medical services while you complain about wait times is a non sequiter? You should probably go back to logic class. Why is you people can never track 2nd and third order effects? Maddening.

@kurtzjd @AnnaCinWV @yashar Not comparatively. And my brother just got a colonoscopy in a few weeks. If you’re unhappy with your wait times, try letting ICE do their job. It’s the tens of millions of illegals straining our services.

Other countries do not “make it work.” For starters they barely pay for their own defense. We pay. They also have egregious wait times to see doctors. Then there is Canada straight up euthanizing people. This idea that government run healthcare works so well or would solve our problems needs to die. It’s ignorant of reality.

@yashar It would have been generous, yes, but there’s no reason Americans should struggle andeven go bankrupt when facing a health crisis. Other countries make it work. We should demand reform.
