This is 1000% true. The IRS has been gutted in the last decade, and the beneficiaries are the ultra-wealthy like President Trump. A thread:

Risk of over-reacting with fiscal stimulus is trivial. Risk of under-reacting is overwhelming. And under-reacting will *cause* massive human suffering. Hold policymakers accountable. We have no shortage of ideas that are virtually guaranteed to help.

The #JobsReport shows--yet again--good job growth and weak wage growth. The unemployment rate has been at or below 4% for two years, and wage growth is, if anything, *decelerating.*

When considering today's #JobsDay numbers it's important to recognize that much of the employment growth has been in industries that pay BELOW average weekly earnings. Assessing top-line numbers without greater context distorts the reality facing many workers in this country.

A quick thread on the economics of a much higher top rate for the super-rich. TL;DR version is that @AOC is on very solid ground here. There is a lot of evidence that from an economic and fiscal perspective, we'd be way better off with top rates approaching 70.
