don't mind me i'm just replacing the ground mesh that you walk on right as you arrive in things betwixt in ds2. why, you ask? well, it sadly only used an albedo texture and is flat af. no normal map, no specular map. so i'm replacing it with an LE mesh that will use a normal map!

Personally one of my favorite things about the remake is it's the same game underneath the new (very pretty graphically), more bland artstyle. I didn't want it to be updated to modern fromsoft because that would make it not Demon's Souls. And I LOVE Demon's Souls.

As someone who’s never played the original DeS the Demon’s Souls Remake still doesn’t quite land for me. It feels like a game that tried to make a Souls game feel like other big budget studios rather than update the game to feel like a modern FromSoft game.

changed the specular map settings on the dragon acolyte mask to show the power of pathtracing on a full reflective surface. here you can see iron keep fully reflected in real time. of course, not a realistic result as the roughness is higher normally

wow somehow i totally missed this mod existing at all. removes estus flask in favor of blood vials. of course you have the bloodborne dash. trick weapons are added. bloodborne music added. rally mechanic is present. basically...fuck yeah. this sounds LIT.

Someone should make a video game that is actively harmful, not like its propaganda for dangerous opinions but just simply playing it somehow measurably deteriorates your physical/mental/emotional health like just booting it up and playing for an hour guarantees you ruin your day

@thunderba11r Crystal caves isn't great, izalith would have been good if they done something about the dragon butt's and bed of chaos. Tomb of the giants I don't mind actually but I can see why people would hate it, the archives, catacombs, new Londo and whatever else I'm missing, all good!
