@SkyNews Why does this government hate adults so much? They're obsessed with ruining everything with their censorship.

Ofcom could disconnect livestreamers from audiences. New age verification proposals mean anyone who doesn't prove they're over 18 will be cut off from comments, reactions, recordings or gifts on their streams. Tell the consultation: no more censorship ⬇️ action.openrightsgroup.org/online-safety-…

@Scautura Hopefully more people would get angry about it and force the government to get rid of it.It's the worst censorship of my lifetime. It should be down to parents to control what their kids watch end of.

I am a nobody, but I'm sure people will probably see this due to the tag. I wonder what would happen if every site affected by the #OnlineSafetyAct blocked access to the UK for 24 hours (or even longer)? 🤔 Food for thought.

@FPSthetics I noticed this today. Couldn't access Imgur, and the images I should of been seeing were parts of some documentation for a program. So I just couldn't access the accompanying images that describe config procedures. The UK government is so incompetent and it's only gonna get worse

@PeterIstrate @imgur I despise the OSA so much. It's the worst censorship in the UK of my lifetime. I'm in my 40's and can't access half of the Internet without using a VPN. The sooner they're out the better!

UK internet just took another hit. Imgur has blocked all UK access. The Online Safety Act is killing open browsing. Freedom is disappearing. 😞 For context I used to use Imgur to host gallery pages for my car mods. With access revoked, I can't do this anymore. Or even access em.

Oh good. Imgur has decided to completely block the UK because it rightfully doesn't want to comply with the OSA. Unless I turn on my VPN, I cannot see ANYTHING from Imgur anymore. Not even embedded on other websites. It's just completely blocked. I repeat: Fuck you @UKLabour

Congrats @Keir_Starmer, the #OnlineSafetyAct has now broken the internet. Welcome to China, UK Edition. This image is seen all over the internet if you're in the UK today, and @imgur didn't even have a proper message if you visited their page soon after this was implemented.

🛑Make no mistake, yesterday, for the first time in living memory, a UK Prime Minister actually 'threatened with blackmail' the livelihoods of the British people he's employed to protect. Unbelievable. We're now living with an 'Authoritarian' Govt. #StarmerOut #NoToDigitalID

This dude built a web extension that can do everything the Online Safety Act tries to do in terms of age verification, without censoring a single person or website or threatening anyone. The only dependency is that it requires a parent to voluntarily install it.

The Online Safety Act has lost the lefty bastion, the New Statesman. Link to follow. It lasted what, all of ten days before the left wing media started to turn on it?

The Online Safety Act is getting dinged in the traditionally left-wing UK paper, the Guardian, this morning on free speech grounds. It's so over for the censors. Link in next tweet
