Love unity, dislike division. Hate the way the “race card” gets used as a get out of jail free card.

@spfl Gaslighting at its best, the final whistle had not been blown, you and the refs have done whatever you can to support Celtic and ensure they lift the trophy. You’ve tarnished football in Scotland.

SPFL Statement "Firstly, we send our congratulations to Celtic on winning the William Hill Premiership in the most exciting of circumstances and send our commiserations to everyone at Heart of Midlothian following an incredible campaign. “We would also like to thank the referee and his excellent team of match officials for their cool heads on such a dramatic day. Given the speculation about the conclusion of the game, we would like to make clear that, prior to awarding the trophy, we were informed by the match referee that the match had ended and had not been abandoned. "Yesterday’s match showed off the very best of the Scottish game and the drama and excitement that it is rightly famed for. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the climax of the William Hill Premiership, with millions of viewers watching the match on Sky Sports and across the globe. "However, we utterly condemn the scenes which saw a number of Celtic supporters encroach onto the field of play. We await the report of our match delegate regarding any specific incidents that took place but, regardless, supporters entering the field of play in any circumstances is wholly unacceptable and puts those participating and working at a match at risk. We note that entering the pitch in England and Wales has been a criminal offence since 1991. We urge anyone with information about any alleged criminal activity to contact Police Scotland."

@FA_PGMOL that was really an embarrassing decision, so going forward everyone can commit a handball and the goal will stand as long as it did not hit the hand of the goal scorer. You have allowed the game to go to ruins.

@piersmorgan You’re embarrassing yourself Piers. Always playing the man. Other than shout over people on live telly and shut down opposing opinions what personal achievements have you reached that require such commitment and dedication. I am no City or Haaland fan I’ll have you know.

@DavidLammy Excuse me Sir, are you the Justice Secretary? Last time I checked that was a Yes, Now answer me this. Did you run on a campaign to fix the borders or imprison patriots? This is Britain, not Palestine or Gaza, get your act together, along with the PM.

The Unite the Kingdom march organisers are spreading hatred and division. They do not reflect the Britain I’m proud of. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right and one I will always protect. But if protest turns violent, we will act swiftly, with extra court capacity in place.

Imagine hating on the Prime Minister because he is doing his job and protecting ethnic minorities from hate and abuse. You'd have to be a complete bigot to criticise this stance.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Wow - This has created a great debate about parenting, I love to see it! 🙌 I can’t help but notice tho- there are some utter melts responding to this🤣 To those people - Allow me to push you right over the edge then…(trigger warning!) In addition to my football approach - My 5 year old son also does tennis. We insist the coach ‘scores’ his performance, to him, out of 10 each time. My boy is gutted when he scores below 8, but knows if so, he must try harder next time to beat his own score. He bursts with pride when he achieves it. At a recent swim lesson, he messed around the whole time. So when we got home, he had to give me his pocket money box. I took ‘pennies’ from it (which he was most upset about!) whilst explaining that if he wants to mess around during a lesson, he can ‘pay’ for it himself & waste his own money. He hasn’t messed around there, during lesson time, again. And during his first ever ‘fun run’ - When the event had finished & everyone else was sat, I convinced him to push himself & run a whole extra lap, alone. He did so, with gusto. I push him as best I can. I don’t indulge (and never will) so-called ‘gentle parenting’, victimhood, trigger warnings, safe-spaces or loser mentalities. I will teach him that life can be hard & that he will be knocked. And that’s ok. But always, always dust yourself off, go again & do whatever it is, to the best of your ability. But - I serve all this (and more), alongside a staple diet of: deep love, support, affection, fun, spontaneity, adventures, laughter, happiness and hugs. I hope all of these ingredients (and others) combine to one day create a wonderful man. One filled with motivation, decency, integrity, strength, self-belief, respect, competitiveness, courage, resilience, grit, accountability, confidence, grace, kindness, compassion, happiness, humour, good manners, good banter and a whole lot more (including a Hull accent! 🤣🤣)… If so…that for me, is parenting done well and I’ll say again, an approach which, if many others adopted - would see this country (and our young people!) in a far better place than it currently is. 👍🏻
Michelle Dewberry@MichelleDewbs

My 5 year old boy does football training. At the end of the session they do a ‘man of the match’ type thing. My boy is always desperate to win it. He often doesn’t. I explained to him the other day that he didn’t win simply because he wasn’t good enough. That he deffo could win, but he just needs to be better, try harder, be more focused etc. One of the other mums heard me & was aghast at what I said. She told me she is going to get ‘runner-up stickers’ for all the kids who don’t make it. I said no thanks, not for my son. Kids need to learn that they can be the best, but they must apply themselves & dust themselves off when it doesn’t go their way. No consolation prizes, no ‘everyone’s a winner’ etc. There are winners & losers. Wanna win - do your best. Can’t make it? Don’t worry, go & smash something else. Play to your strengths & never, ever play the victim. If more parents & institutions had this attitude, the country would be in a better place - if I say so myself 😉 Cc @KonstantinKisin x.com/KonstantinKisi…

Stood almost alone amongst the commentariat for weeks in saying that Starmer wouldn’t go anywhere after the May elections. And guess what? He isn’t going anywhere.

I’m sick to death of the right wing press to be honest. I suspect that Keir didn’t even know he had a niece and this wouldn’t have crossed his desk. Why is he getting the blame for selections that he has absolutely no involvement with whatsoever? 🤷🏼‍♂️

@EdwardJDavey How is that interfering in democracy? I have a simple solution don’t splice segments to defame people and make it look like they incited riots. Democracy is telling the truth not manipulation.

Keir Starmer needs to stand up for the BBC against Trump's outrageous $5bn lawsuit and protect licence fee payers from being hit in the pocket. Trump wants to interfere in our democracy and undermine our national broadcaster. We cannot let him.

@ThuliMadonsela3 @elonmusk Surely a Prof knows the difference between truth and lies, yet somehow you avoid the truth. One example, do you know how many top White students are refused admission to study medicine? That’s not reparative, that’s oppression.

An economic migrant in Thailand just donated £9m to Reform. We are not a democracy! Outrageous wealth isn't here to look after the poorest in society - If vast wealth from abroad can enter our politics without restriction, we need to ask ourselves whose voices are being amplified and whose are being ignored....
