@egr_investor Generally it’s not worth it unless you are hitting a sign up bonus worth $750-1200+ in value. But you can at least write off the transaction fee to help negate the fee a little bit if doing quarterly tax payments for your biz.

Paying taxes with a credit card strikes me as being not worth the hassle, but I see it all the time on personal finance forums. Do you pay your taxes with a credit card just to earn that thin spread? #PersonalFinance

We both used to be able to get insurance for the cost of a telephone bill. Then Obama decided we needed to pay for the illegals/poor/sick based on our ability to pay.

@Chadmoneymatter @MaineLogic Part of why employee wage growth has been so anemic for decades is your cash based comp gains has been eaten up by insane increases to your health plans. You are choosing to ignore reality. Not to mention you aren’t including copays, OOP, etc in your $190 number.

I accept a lower salary to cover my family with a good plan from the state gov. My point is you ignoring that this is coming out of cash based comp is ridiculous.

Technically you haven't been screwed on your HW3 yet. Only if they release unsupervised and don't offer us hardware 3 owners retrofits or some other equivalent resolution. Me and my mom are sitting on HW3 cars happily waiting for V14 Lite. But if unsupervised never comes, we will be suing.

It really is bizarre. Most of my friends don't have FSD (or a Tesla). And it is the single biggest lifestyle difference between us. They drive their cars. My car drives me. They don't get how much--even at its current capability-level--the product changes life-feel. FSD truly is a mass luxury product. That it is still so narrowly enjoyed is mind-bending.

@Leo_Traydes 40,000 points is maybe $400-650 if you are being generous. Still a decent return but you still got a $325 annual fee to overcome. I have the card personally just saying you still gotta run your numbers.

I believe the Amex Gold Card is better than the $HOOD gold card by far (depending on your situation of course) Simply put - my biggest spending comes from Dining and Groceries which is 4x points back with Amex Gold $5,000 a year in these categories is 20,000 points. With certain transfer bonuses to certain airlines you could make that 40,000 points which could pay for many/most domestic round trip flights That ends up being hundreds of dollars when compared to $HOOD 3% back on 5k Then of course you have the perks that pay for themself as soon as you sign up For $325 a year, if you’re a traveling man I don’t see why you don’t choose $AXP (No I’m not getting one nor do I have one) However, I do believe if you could combine the Robinhood Gold and Amex Gold that would be a fantastic credit card stack 🤷‍♂️
