80-year-old deranged demented dotrart Donald Trump is making up stories about "vandals" who he says "went in there with a knife" and cut the polyurea liner in the reflecting pool. It didn't happen. It would be dangerous and difficult to cut the liner, especially underwater, and impossible without being caught. We should not allow this level of demented nonsense from the President. Trump should be removed from office.

The Reflecting Pool in front of the Lincoln Memorial is set to undergo more repairs, just days ahead of America’s 250th anniversary. That’s according to President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly claimed without evidence that vandals caused the algae blooms and peeling paint that have plagued the pool since its renovation. @TheStephSy reports.

BREAKING: MAD KING! Trump insanely announces that six people have been arrested for imaginary vandalism done to the Reflecting Pool as the scandal consumes him completely. These renovations have destroyed the last of his rotting mind... "Six people have been arrested, and seven people have been cited, for the damage they did to our Country’s now beautiful Reflecting Pool," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The 350 foot gash, made by a very sharp knife or razors, is actually numerous slashes over a very long 350 foot length. It was purposefully and criminally done, and somebody had to work very hard, probably in the dark of night, to create such a condition." This is obviously a complete fabrication. Crazed vandals have not been diving into the pool in broad daylight and slashing madly with "very sharp" knives at the substandard lining that was installed. Nor are there secretive leftist cells sneaking into the pool at night to do such dirty work. If there were any truth to Trump's claim the White House would be blasting out the evidence. There would be photos and videos of the vandals because the pool is under constant surveillance. There are two likely explanations here. Either nobody was arrested at all, or the Trump administration scooped up six people on sham charges which will soon be thrown out. Either way, we once again see this President prioritizing his focus on a self-inflicted PR wound rather than on the rising cost of living or any of the countless other real problems facing average Americans. "Likewise, the small area at the bottom of the Pool was cut and powerfully lifted off the surface leaving very jagged, uneven edges," Trump continued. "The large areas of grass are being replaced. In any event, even prior to fixing those areas, the Reflecting Pool is as beautiful as it can be. We will drain some of the water, either immediately before or after the Fourth of July, to do the permanent repair. President DONALD J. TRUMP" Nobody is falling for this narrative except for the most gullible. diehard MAGA supporters. The Reflecting Pool has become a disgusting, algae-tinged swamp because Trump hired shady firms — including one run by a convicted felon — to do the renovations and they either cut corners or had no idea what they were doing. BREAKING: OMG. Trump hits ROCK BOTTOM with his Reflecting Pool meltdown as he threatens to sue ABC News over their coverage in a deeply deranged screed. This pool failure has destroyed the last few shreds of his sanity... "In describing the Vandalism that took place at the Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C., ABC FAKE NEWS, one of the worst in the business, even paying me $16,000,000 for past bad and inaccurate reporting, failed to report that their close 'friends,' Dumocrats Obama and Biden, spent over 100 Million Dollars on the Reflecting Pool, and it never worked," Trump wrote on Truth Social. In reality, there is no "vandalism" at play here. Trump hired incompetent conmen, including a convicted felon, to perform the renovations. They pocketed their millions of dollars and then handed in a substandard job. The algae bloomed, the lining began to peel, and now the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool has never looked worse. As for the $16 million settlement, it was a total sham. Trump sued ABC News after anchor George Stephanopoulos accurately described the President as a "rapist" in connection to the E. Jean Carroll case. He had been found liable for sexual abuse that meets the colloquial definition of rape. ABC would have likely won the case at trial, but they were worried about being targeted by Trump's crooked, fully weaponized Justice Department. So they caved. That doesn't vindicate Trump, it indicts him. President Obama spent roughly $30.7 million renovating the pool and the work he oversaw never resulted in it turning into a disgusting, putrid green swamp afloat with dislodged chunks of lining. There's simply no truth to the $100 million bit. Trump is pulling that out of his rear end. "In fact, it was rarely open due to leaks and 'stench.' They wanted to spend 300 to 400 Million Dollars, but just let it ROT," Trump continued, again inventing numbers out of thin air. "I spent approximately 16 Million Dollars, and it came out great, except for the Vandalism, which we are now fixing. It was also a much bigger job than originally envisioned, including the outer areas and sidewalks. We are preparing lawsuits against ABC for false reporting. I like their money, which will be given to the U.S. Treasury! Thank you for your attention to this matter." Obviously, these renovations did not come out "great." The pool looks utterly hideous, a fitting reflection of Trump's twisted soul and an apt metaphor for his failed presidency. Most likely, this lawsuit will never materialize but if it does it'll end up getting laughed out of court. Unfortunately for Donald Trump, our legal system exists firmly in reality, where his lies have no purchase. Republicans keep hollering on social media that talking about the Reflecting Pool debacle is a waste of time, but Trump was the one who made such a huge deal out of it and used it to attack Obama. A third of Americans approve of how the president is handling the economy, the lowest mark since Marist began asking the question in 2019. Sixty percent of Americans disapprove of Trump's economic approach. Overall, 36% of Americans approve of his performance in office, the poll found, continuing a downward trend since March 2025.
