“I’m evaluating. I’m open to discussion,” brand-new Rep. Analilia Mejia (D-Glen Ridge) said. “What I’m not open to is rigging any system for unfair advantage. I think voters having a full voice should take primacy, and that we should win on arguments.” What does this mean?!?!
Joey Fox@joeymdfox

If N.J. Democrats are really serious about mid-decade redistricting, they’ll need buy-in from the party’s House incumbents, whose own districts may need to be substantially reshaped. Still early, but most N.J. House Dems I talked to are open to it. newjerseyglobe.com/redistricing/a…

@souljagoyteller No they aren’t, no one in America is advocating for Iran as a nation to be wiped out.

America right now is at war against Iran’s right to exist
Leo Terrell@LeoTerrellDOJ

I find it insane that people proudly declare, "I support Israel's right to exist," as though existence itself is a privilege that must be debated or granted. Do you ever hear anyone say they support France's right to exist? Japan's? America's? Any other nation on Earth? No. Because no country besides @Israel is forced to justify its existence to the world. When politicians make this statement, people applaud them like they just made some brave moral statement. They didn't. They stated something so basic it should never have to be said in the first place. @realDonaldTrump @POTUS @DAGToddBlanche @ASGWoodward @TheJusticeDept @marcorubio @SecRubio @StateDept @yechielleiter @IsraelinUSA @Israel @netanyahu

They’re actually going to treat Nicholas Kristof like Greta Thunberg. Incredible. They have no shame and no intelligence
Jon Levine@LevineJonathan

NEW from @IraStoll @NickKristof father fought for the Nazis during WWII — something he admitted in his 2024 memoir, Chasing Hope "When I was growing up and other kids talked about their dads heroically battling the Nazis, I kept quiet. I didn't want to admit that my father had actually fought for a year on the same side of the Nazis." freebeacon.com/media/times-co…

Everyone made a big song and dance about a poll 48 hours ago showing El-Sayed was weakest of the 3 Dems against Republican Rogers in the general and yet here’s a new poll showing he’s the strongest of the 3. Stevens is the weakest. (It’s basically a dead heat!)
InteractivePolls@IAPolls2022

MICHIGAN POLL - Senate 🟥 Mike Rogers: 42% 🟦 Abdul El-Sayed: 41% — 🟥 Mike Rogers: 43% 🟦 Mallory McMorrow: 40% — 🟥 Mike Rogers: 42% 🟦 Haley Stevens: 39% — Mitchell Research/MIRS | 5/1-7 | LV realclearpolitics.com/docs/2026/MIRS…

@cherubfemme @EmmaVigeland Obviously, but Hitler admired the british empire partly because it matched his own racial hierarchy views. He was shocked when he saw that the UK was willing to wreck it's own empire (and ultimately give up the empire) in order to oppose him.

@GorlaNiketh @EmmaVigeland He only wanted to do that because they were both ideologically opposed to the USSR. It wouldn’t have been allyship borne out of warm feelings and butterflies.

@nixus237 @EmmaVigeland Hitler's main enemy was literally Russia. He was willing to let Britain go with relatively good terms, and even let them keep their empire. He was shocked when the British continued to defy him

@GorlaNiketh @EmmaVigeland So “peace” = bombing the shit out of the UK and potentially making them murder their Jewish population? Yeah bro that certainly makes sense

Sorry, but this is BS. I interviewed @AbdulElSayed months ago, and when going over his background with me, he immediately made it clear that he received an MD but declined to practice, instead pursuing a career in public health. There was no hiding / obfuscating on his part.

@GorlaNiketh @souljagoyteller Yes. If they don't vote *against* the formation of the government, they can allow it to form. But Hadash, Ta'al and Balad wouldn't do it w/o major concessions that I can't see happening. That leaves Ra'am who'd be willing to fully join the government with way fewer concessions.

I have a bold idea. Rather than litigate the veracity of mutual mass rape claims in a 2000 year old religious war btwn authoritarian regimes maybe we should offer humanitarian aid where needed & focus on our own interests. You might call it a pivot to Asia or even “americans 1st”

@CogitoEdu @KarolusWangus So you really think that you need to have like 5 generations living in a place before you can say you are from there. Isn’t it the left that claims that nationalism is fake anyway?

@gscott1233 @infinite_jaz ok but the Israelis clearly have been willing to accept a 2 state solution multiple times in the past? Olmert, Barak, and even Rabin all said this. The Palestinians don't want it though

This piece says that “in poll after poll, a majority of Israelis see permanent occupation as the only way to security” while wholly rejecting BDS and other tactics that would force society-wide change, opting instead for narrow interventions that might, at best, marginally rein in the IDF and the most violent settlers. Complete failure to acknowledge the reality of the situation by @ilangoldenberg and @jstreetdotorg.
Ilan Goldenberg@ilangoldenberg

J Street’s approach isn’t the “same old peace process.” It’s using real leverage, conditioning aid to Israel, sanctioning violent extremist settlers, and regional diplomacy to push change. The path forward isn’t about exclusively punishing Israel, but empowering Israeli and Palestinian peacemakers and improving Palestinian lives.  My latest on how to engage in these hard conversations inside the Democratic Party. @TVietor08 open.substack.com/pub/jstreetdot…
