@NewHampJournal @SenSusanCollins You guys ever meet the folks who run the UNH Survey center.... They are partisan democrat hacks interested in pushing the local narrative in a direction that benefits their patrons. Their polling has a horrendous track record.

Just had a scout that spent one year at UNH studying a hard science try to explain how we have Karl Marx all wrong... This kid wasn't political going in... the change was disturbing. There need to be firings of anyone associated with DEI, DSA or any other related communist groups from the New Hampshire university system, they are enemies of our republic.

🚨 NOW: Sec. Marco Rubio just said it PERFECTLY in front of dozens of global officials on leftist terrorism "You are here because two weeks ago, a 72-year-old woman was BURNED on over 80% of her body in her own home, in Greece, and she died, executed by a fire bomb because her daughter dared to stand for office!" "Far-left political terrorism is NOT a recent day modern novelty. It is NOT a fiction manufactured by conservative politicians." "For most of the modern era, it was in fact the DOMINANT form of political violence." "You are here today because for five days this winter, the lights went out in Berlin. The longest blackout in the city since the Second World War sparked by an attack that left tens of thousands of households without power in the freezing cold and left an 83-year-old woman dead." "You are here and you came because a month after that Berlin blackout, a French 23-year-old succumbed to traumatic brain injuries beaten to death on the streets of Lyon by a group of far-left militant thugs." "You are here because your political leaders are being attacked and stabbed and shot in your streets — because your businesses have been bombed, because your railways have been sabotaged, because your police officers have been beaten and burned!"' "You are here because this is real and it is getting worse and it can no longer be denied and it can no longer be ignored because it is time to crush this evil forever!"

Bookmarked for 2028 so we can all prove for the bazillionth time that Billy Kristol lost his mind because Trump, the most genuinely conservative President since Reagan, went to the wrong schools and has the wrong accent. ("He's not one of us dear. Would you pass the Earl Grey and a crumpet?")
Bill Kristol@BillKristol

Conventional wisdom, with which I agree: Trump is more narcissistic, self-absorbed, and megalomaniacal than ever. Conventional wisdom, with which I disagree: Oh c’mon, Trump understands he really can’t run again. My hunch: Trump “understands” no such thing. He wants to run. He’ll try to.

I hear all the time about how Gen Z is turning socialist because they have no economic hope and how I just don’t understand that we need to do more socialist stuff so they’ll still vote for us. Well…. I’ve spent quite a bit of time as a Silicon Valley startup/VC lawyer, and there is no quicker way to turn a young leftist into a junior Milton Friedman than starting their own business. I saw it over and over and over—smart twenty somethings with coding skills, blue hair and a Che Guevara poster gradually becoming more and more conservative as they slowly comprehend just how many regulatory hurdles there are to running a business and raising capital (and the amount of money they had to pay me to help do that navigation). We should all be encouraging young people to start their own businesses. They don’t need to be some novel tech business that attracts VC funding either. Every community has service and product needs just itching to be filled by someone with a little energy and smarts. The way out of Gen Z’s economic malaise is not going back to school to get a master’s because you can’t get a job you think is good enough for you. No, the cure is entrepreneurship. Us olds should be pointing the youngs in that direction. We’ll grow a new generation of conservatives, and OBTW the best route to true wealth is to own your own business and not work for somebody else.

@KKriegeBlog Had a great time seeing this and "The Great Awakening" with my family over the July 4th weekend. Mike Rowe interviewed the director, very much worth your time. x.com/mikeroweworks/…
The Real Mike Rowe@mikeroweworks

Not that you asked, but I have a few quick recommendations for some worthwhile viewing and listening this week, beginning with my conversation with @JonErwin13 the terrific director of a really good movie called Young Washington, which premiered in theaters on Independence Day. Modesty aside, the conversation is excellent, the movie is thrilling, and I encourage you to enjoy both at your leisure. We say it all the time, but it’s worth repeating – Washington was without question, the most indispensable American to ever live. It’s super interesting to see what shaped him as a young man, and the mistakes he made on the road to his remarkable presidency, especially in the wake of our semi quincentennial. Also, though I had nothing to do with it, I heartily recommend another very patriotic movie called “Pressure,” that tells the weirdly riveting story of a very unpopular weather forecast from a very disagreeable meteorologist whose instincts might very well have altered the outcome of WWII. I have no idea how this one got greenlit, because the treatment must have looked ridiculous on the page... “A WWII thriller that takes place almost entirely in a drawing room, wherein two meteorologists of differing opinions argue over the best day for Eisenhower to invade Europe.” There’s no way this movie should be as good as it is, but it is. And Brendan Fraser as Eisenhauer is terrific. And finally, I just got around to listening to @pmarca Marc Andreessen on @joerogan. It’s another three-hour marathon that was recorded a month ago, but don’t be dissuaded. This is a must-watch for anyone who is open to the possibility that data centers and AI might not be the encroaching Armageddon that so many believe it to be. Or at least curious to understand how the genie got out of the bottle, and why it will never be returned. (I listened to it at 1.75 speed, which takes some getting used to, but knocks the running time down to less than two hours. You can also start listening to an hour in, and still come away with a lot of useful insight.) My conversation with Jon Erwin is here. bit.ly/TWIHI492JonErw… Get tickets to watch Young Washington in theaters here. bit.ly/TWIHIYoungWash… Pressure is somewhere on Amazon Prime. Just google Rogan & Andreessen. You’re welcome!

Apparently pseudo-oyster farmer and Maine Democrat Senatorial candidate Graham Platner is dropping out of the race against incumbent Susan Collins. A breaking news story says he sexually assaulted a former girlfriend. The real story here is that the Democrats were so desperate to capture the vote of actual men with normal testosterone levels that they nominated a guy with an SS Nazi tattoo, a history of misogyny and bizarre online sexual comments, and a record of sexual assault. After their foray with the masculinity of Fancy Tim Walz, that was the best they could do. The Democrat Party is toxic to actual men.

Since 2023, I have kept the same pinned post because I feel that post (the one discussing "my side of history") is the most important sentiment I have ever posted on this platform. For the short-term future, however, I am changing that pinned post to this one, because it is of such crucial importance to our nation's survival. Here goes. The Democrat Party is in the process of being taken over by the Democrat Socialists of America (the "DSA"). The DSA is an explicitly Marxist organization. Marxism has impoverished more people and genocidally murdered more of humanity than all other ideologies ever to exist in human history combined. It is a grotesque form of evil that is wholly incompatible with the Constitution of the United States of America. Marxism in all its forms must be reviled and publicly treated with the same disdain with which intelligent adults view Naziism, pedophilia, serial murderers and cannibalism. Do not back down. Each and every time you encounter Marxism in any of its forms, please call it out for the evil that it is. It is a rapidly metastasizing cancer that can only be defeated by public awareness. Thank you.
