We wrapped up meetings today on Capitol Hill with @RepRutherfordFL and @RepAaronBean, as well as staff of @marcorubio and @SenRickScott about federal funding for the Emerald Trail, Ultimate Urban Circulator, @JTAFLA St. John’s River Ferry, and infrastructure improvements at @JAXairport. It’s already been a busy and productive day in D.C. as our delegation just wrapped up a meeting with @HUDgov Deputy Assistant Secretary Adrianne Todman @DepSecTodman about affordable housing funding opportunities along the Emerald Trail and throughout the city. Thank you to @NathanielPFord from @JTAFLA, Kay Ehas from @GroundworkJax, and Kerri Stewart from @meco_jax for being here with us to represent Jacksonville and work to bring home hundreds of millions in federal grant dollars.

Mercia Bowser was born on March 7, 1956, and passed away on February 24, 2021.

My family and I are mourning the loss of my sister, Mercia Bowser, who passed away this morning due to complications related to COVID-19. Mercia was loved immensely and will be missed greatly, as she joins the legion of angels who have gone home too soon due to the pandemic.
