The @SFChronicle endorses NO ON PROP D! 👉 “Prop D is a tax on businesses disguised as an executive-accountability measure. And changing the rules again so quickly after Prop M makes San Francisco look unstable to employers and investors. It may, in fact, be the final straw that compels those affected businesses to leave the city altogether. We recommend a no vote.”

Did you know in San Francisco, you can block housing from being built because it… causes a shadow? Over the last 10 years, over 2000 units of housing have been delayed or stalled because of this. That's why I’m announcing the SHADE Act - or Slashing Housing Appeals And Delays Everywhere. You see today, our city treats “shadows” the same as toxic waste in our environmental review process. It allows anyone to appeal a project and stop it from being built on the grounds of some shade caused by a new building. The SHADE Act will in turn: 1) eliminate local allowances for shadow as a reason for an environmental appeal, 2) streamline our environmental review processes from 30 days to 15 days, and 3) simplify and modernize our public notification processes. Because let’s face it, San Francisco is paying too high a price for being afraid of its own shadow. It’s time to fix that.

Natalie Gee supported Gabriela López, even after she was recalled by 82% of the Sunset. So if Gee doesn't agree with the Sunset, why does she think she can represent the Sunset in City Hall?

Insurance Commissioner is a job that requires real insurance expertise. I have spent my life analyzing the insurance industry. My opponents have spent theirs running for office. That difference matters. #wolffonyourside

We’re doing things differently in San Francisco when it comes to homelessness. And we’re seeing results. - Nearly 1,000 fewer people are sleeping on our streets compared to 2024—a major sign that our strategy is working. - Unsheltered homelessness in San Francisco is now at its lowest level in 15 years. - The number of people in tents is down 85%. These numbers come from the 2026 Point in Time Count. The takeaway is clear: More people are coming inside to get shelter and treatment, and we are moving in the right direction.

From the Tenderloin to the Haight, District 5 arguably has the best restaurants in San Francisco. But it's not just because of their food. It's their stories. Shalimar is the first Pakistani restaurant in the city. Cantoo the only Venezuelan-Chinese restaurant. Escape from New York the first slice shop in the city. Being able to showcase these small businesses is a privilege. Through socials we can respond to their concerns on street repairs to safety. And at the same time, give them a quick insta boost. Because be it a hole-in-the-wall restaurant or a legacy business, these restaurants are the heart of what makes our city great: the immigrant story, the small business hustle, and amazing food. Thank you Astrid Kane and @sfstandard for the fun profile! sfstandard.com/2026/05/12/sup…

Over half the storefronts on Van Ness are empty. Not just vacant real estate — the cafes, shops, small businesses that make SF, SF. Gone. Supervisor Sherrill wrote a law to help fill them. Reelect him for District 2 Supervisor this June. Full guide: GrowSF.org/voter-guide

San Francisco is on the right track and we can be proud of how the city is bouncing back. But there’s still a lot to do: downtown recovery, more housing, clean streets, public safety. The @GrowSF guide has pretty much nailed who you should vote for in order to keep things going.

There's progress on building housing on San Francisco's most infamous car wash! This week, the Department of Building Inspection approved a site permit for 203 units of housing on the site. This means the overall project has been approved at a high level, and now the developer can begin applying for specialized permits to demolish the car wash and set the foundation of the building. It's taken years to get here - in part due to permitting bureaucracy years way before I was elected. I even had to pass a law earlier this year to change rules around permit expiration timelines to make sure projects that have such a lengthy process can still be built without having to go to the back of the line. Now the work won't start immediately, but its a necessary first step to the transformation this neighborhood has been waiting for. We expect movement on the site before the end of the year.

Many fire stations need seismic retrofits, and much of the Westside still lacks the high-pressure water system needed after a major earthquake. Prop A funds firehouses, emergency water infrastructure, and first responder facilities. Vote YES on Prop A. Fund firefighters.

I have a crazy idea. To solve the insurance crisis, we should elect people with real insurance experience to be insurance commissioner. #PatrickWolff4InsuranceCommissioner

It’s the same agenda, the same team, the same donors, and the same philosophy. That means the same result: an unaffordable San Francisco stuck in gridlock. Say no to Peskin 2.0.

Thanks to the great work at SFPD, we are driving down crime, catching criminals, and sending a message to the region and the world that SF is a safe American city. This week, @SFPD arrested two robbery suspects and recovered stolen property after tracking a vehicle linked to a series of car break-ins.
