Yesterday, Zohran announced his new “racial equity plan.” He insists that “black and brown new yorkers are hit the hardest by the affordability crisis. I think it’s perhaps me worth saying, passively, and with temperance, that this is one of the most flatly disingenuous, and outright dangerous statements I’ve ever heard uttered. The fact we continue to cosign this false narrative as a people is absurd. The reality is that in New York City, and virtually every other metropolitan in the United States, white folks are its tax cattle. And here is a graph laying that out. For every tax dollar that white folks give to the city, they receive back .03 cents in tax payer benefits. Compare that with Asians obtaining .22 cents on the dollar, blacks with 1.77 and hispanics with 1.95 in benefits for every tax dollar they contribute. Yet, according to Zohran, it’s black and brown folks who deserve even more, and white folks who should continue to be marginalized. Why? He doesn’t quite say. He just piggy backs on twisted hallmark cards and baiting aphorisms that the DEI movement began with, which nobody had the balls to challenge. And if I were to give you a comparable, try this. Imagine you’re living in a house with three other roomates. You’re up at 6AM and working through 10PM every single night to pay for the vast majority of that apartment’s rent, utilities, groceries, and amenities. Yet you have three other roommates who party every night, roll out of bed whenever they please, trash the place, and are constantly getting fined. If you simultaneously have to listen to your city council make your constant, aching efforts feel totally invisible, you are very simply going to start looking at other cities to live in. These are the facts, and they are not only ignored, they are paved over with propaganda and guilt tripping misrepresentations to build a blatantly false, partisan, race baiting reality. We need to stop voting for folks who foist upon the American people such blatant propaganda.

I was at dinner with two friends with newborn kids: one is Italian, Brazilian, Portuguese. The other newborn is Mexican, Canadian, Polish, Portuguese. Multi-passport families are the future. If not, multi residency. I wonder how common this is among your friends. How many of your friends' kids have more than one passport? P.s. this was my weekend. 4h on tennis courts, gym and great dinners.

What's the cheapest price I can get for Nano Banana Pro for 1K? I'm spending soooo much money on it now I think $40,000/mo. Thanks guys, need to get my costs down again. I know Nano Banana Pro Flash is coming which would be 10x cheaper

@levie Yes, I think so too! Everytime I zoom in or out, I think of new things. I think (most) execs should play with these things themselves (fi simple flow with n8n, add a LLM, see what happens) to see the power and unlock new ideas. It's fun, but also really necessary to understand it

In 5 years from now, probably 95% of the tokens used by AI agents will be used on tasks that humans never did before. I just met with about 30 enterprises across 2 days and a dinner, and some of the most interesting use-cases that keep coming up for AI agents are on bringing automated work to areas that the companies would not have been able to apply labor to before. Most of the world hasn’t quite caught on to this point yet. We imagine AI as dropping into today’s workflows and just taking what we already do and making it more efficient by 20% or something. Yet most companies realize that most of the time they’re doing far less than they could because of the cost or limited capacity of talent. This shows up in different ways across every industry. In real estate it’s ideas like being able to read and analyze every lease agreement for every trend and business opportunity possible. In life sciences it’s being able to rapidly do drug discovery or improve quality by looking through errors in data. In financial services it’s being able to look through all past deals and figure out better future monetization. In legal it’s being able to execute on contracts or legal work for previously unprofitable segments or projects. And these are just the Box AI use cases that deal with documents and content. The same is going to be true in coding, where companies tackle software projects they wouldn’t have done before. Security of all systems and events they couldn’t get to. And so on. If you are working on AI Agents right now, the big opportunity is to bring enterprises “work” for problems that they couldn’t do before because it was nearly impossible to afford or scale. And if you’re deploying AI agents in an enterprise, consider what things you’d do more of (or differently) if the cost and speed of labor became 100X cheaper and faster. This is going to get you the real upside of automation.

We are alarmed by reports that Germany is on the verge of a catastrophic about-face, reversing its longstanding and principled opposition to the EU’s Chat Control proposal which, if passed, could spell the end of the right to privacy in Europe. signal.org/blog/pdfs/germ…

FYI. Voice memos drive me crazy. They shift all the work from sender to receiver. You hit record and ramble for 3 minutes while I’m stuck listening with no way to skim. You’re trading YOUR efficiency for MY time, and if you keep choosing your convenience over mine, don’t be surprised when I stop opening your messages altogether.

@ptrschmdtnlsn If you enable the Path Bar in finder, it makes it more like Windows where you can select the folder up. I was being driven crazy on Mac until I found this

Why is the file finder dialog on Mac so horrifically bad? There's no "go to parent directory" option. Even just navigating to my home folder is difficult. The "recents" menu seems to only include a small fraction of files perhaps from a few apps that opt in. It's insane.

Horrific footage of a night battle in the skies above Kharkiv in April 2025. This is the horror Ukraine is experiencing now in its fourth year of all-out war. Europe is watching and debating.

Italian exports to Kyrgyzstan in January and February 2024 are up 2200% from the same two months in 2019. It's an open secret that these exports are going to Russia, where they help keep Putin's war economy going. It is beyond baffling that Europe's policy makers do nothing...
