Final results with a great discussion. Really interesting that 75% of people preload in STEMI, NSTEMI, or both. Is there a positive trial that specifically tested preloading vs. not? I don't think so. Probably very challenging to show a difference in contemporary practice.

@SVRaoMD Exactly- that’s what I meant by it tested a lot more than that. And the median time from enrollment to cath was 9 days. But I think if you trace it back, that’s where the preloading guideline comes from.

Had a CT showing renal & liver masses w/ kidney suspicious for cancer. Radiologist recommended MRI for further characterization. Now my insurance company is refusing to pay for the MRI saying it’s not “medically necessary.” My doc sure as hell thought it was. 1/3
