وزیر اعظم اسلامی جمہوریہ پاکستان محمد شہباز شریف کا یوم تکبیر (28 مئی) کے موقع پر پیغام. یوم تکبیر پاکستان کی تاریخ کا وہ عظیم دن ہے جب پوری قوم نے غیر متزلزل عزم، قومی وحدت اور بے مثال جرأت کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے ایٹمی قوت ہونے کا اعلان کیا تھا۔ 28 مئی 1998ء کو پاکستان نے بھارت کے ایٹمی دھماکوں کے جواب میں کامیاب جوہری دھماکے کر کے نہ صرف خطے میں طاقت کا توازن بحال کیا بلکہ دنیا کو یہ پیغام دیا کہ ہم اپنی دفاعی صلاحیت سے ہر گز غافل نہیں۔ یہ دن گواہی دیتا ہے کہ مملکت خداداد جس کا خواب علامہ اقبال نے دیکھا اور قائداعظم محمد علی جناح نے اسے خطہ ارض پر نقش کیا اسکا دفاع آہنی ہاتھوں میں ہے۔ آج کے دن ہم پاکستان کے ایٹمی پروگرام کی تکمیل میں شامل تمام شخصیات کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہیں، جن میں ذوالفقار علی بھٹو کی فکر انگیزی اور محمد نواز شریف کی بے لوث فیصلہ سازی اور قیادت اور قومی ہیروز ڈاکٹر عبدالقدیر خان، ڈاکٹر ثمر مبارک مند کی خدمات شامل ہیں۔ علاوہ ازیں ان تمام سائنسدانوں، انجینئرز، ماہرین، افواجِ پاکستان اور کارکنان کو بھی خراج عقیدت پیش کرتے ہیں جنہوں نے پاکستان کے دفاع کو ناقابلِ تسخیر بنانے میں تاریخی کردار ادا کیا۔ بھارت نے اپنے جنگی جنون ، انتہا پسندانہ سوچ اور توسیع پسندانہ عزائم کے اظہار کے لیے ایٹمی دھماکے کیے تھے۔ پاکستان نے دانشمندانہ اور بروقت فیصلہ کرتے ہوئے جوابی دھماکوں سے دشمن کے تمام عزائم خاک میں ملادیے۔ دنیا کی بڑی طاقتوں نے پاکستان کو جوہری دھماکوں سے روکنےکی کوشش کی، معاشی دباؤ ڈالا، پابندیوں کی دھمکیاں دیں، حتی کہ بھاری معاشی و مالی پیشکش کی، لیکن وزیر اعظم پاکستان مھمد نواز شریف کسی بھی دباو یا لالچ کو خاطر میں لائے بغیر اپنی آزادی اور خودمختاری کے تحفظ کے لئے پر عزم تھے۔ یوم تکبیر محض ایٹمی دھماکوں کی یاد نہیں بلکہ یہ قومی خودداری، اتحاد، قربانی اور دفاع وطن کے ناقابل تسخیر عزم کی علامت ہے۔ پاکستان کا ایٹمی پرو گرام ہر دور میں جاری رکھ کر ہمارے اسلاف نے ثابت کیا کہ ملکی وقار سے بڑھ کر کوئی چیز مقدم نہیں۔ اگر پاکستان ایٹمی قوت نہ بنتا تو دشمن اپنے مذموم عزائم کی تکمیل کے لیے کسی بھی حد تک جاسکتا تھا۔ پاکستان کا مضبوط ایٹمی حصار اور مسلح افواج کی تیاری اور عزم دشمن کے عزائم کی راہ میں فیصلہ کن رکاوٹ ہے۔ معرکہ حق میں دشمن کی جارحیت کا منہ توڑ جواب دے کر ہم اپنے اس عزم کو ثابت کر چکے ہیں۔ ہندوستان نے اپنی فرسودہ اور گھسی پٹی سازش کے ذریعے پہلگام فالس فلیگ آپریشن کا ڈرامہ رچایا اور اسے جواز بنا کر پاکستان کے شہریوں اور مساجد پر حملہ کر دیا، تاہم ہماری مسلح افواج اور قوم نے بنیان المرصوص بن کر نہ صرف اس کے عزائم کو خاک میں ملایا بلکہ اس کی حربی و عددی برتری کے گھمنڈ کو بھی توڑ کے رکھ دیا۔ چیف آف آرمی اسٹاف،چیف آف ڈیفنس فورسز فیلڈ مارشل سید عاصم منیر کی قیادت میں مسلح افواج نے فقید المثال پیشہ ورانہ استعداد کا مظاہرہ کیا۔ چیف آف دی ائیر اسٹاف ائیر چیف مارشل ظہیر احمد بابر اور چیف آف دی نیول اسٹاف ایڈمرل نوید اشرف کی مثالی کارکردگی نے دشمن پر ہماری بہادری کی دھاک بٹھا دی۔ ہم نے پوری دنیا کو یہ باور کرادیا ہے کہ ہمارے کوئی جارحانہ عزائم نہیں ہیں تاہم اپنے دفاع کا حق محفوظ رکھتے ہیں۔ معرکہ حق میں عبرت ناک شکست کے بعد دشمن براہ راست حملوں کی بجائے دوسرے ہتھکنڈوں سے ہماری سلامتی کو نقصان پہنچانے کی کوششوں میں مصروف ہے۔ وہ فتنہ الخوارج اور فتنہ الہندوستان جیسی پر اکسیز کے ذریعے اپنے مکروہ عزائم جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔ اس سلسلے میں افغان رجیم اس کی سہولت کار ہے۔ ہم اس فتنے کو جڑ سے اکھاڑنے کے لیے پر عزم ہیں۔ جہاں ہم نے آپریشن بنیان المرصوص کے ذریعے ازلی دشمن کو عبرت ناک شکست دی، وہیں آپریشن غضب للحق کے ذریعے ایسے تمام فتنوں اور ان کے سہولت کاروں کو جڑ سے اکھاڑ پھینکیں گے۔ دشمن کسی غلط فہمی میں نہ ر ہے، ہماری بہادر مسلح افواج جدید ترین ہتھیاروں سے لیس مادر وطن کے چپے چپے کے دفاع کے لیے پر عزم ہیں۔ قوم اپنے ان محسنوں کی ہمیشہ شکر گزار رہے گی۔ آئیے ، اس عہد کی تجدید کریں کہ وطن عزیز کے امن ، ترقی ، استحکام اور سلامتی کے لیے متحد رہیں گے ، ہر اندرونی و بیرونی سازش کا مقابلہ کریں گے ، اور ہم پاکستان کو ایک مضبوط، خوشحال اور باوقار ریاست بنانے کے لیے اپنی تمام تر صلاحیتیں اور وسائل بروئے کار لاتے رہیں گے۔

28 May 1998 was a defining moment in our national history - a day when Pakistan demonstrated to the world that it would never compromise on its sovereignty, security, dignity, or right to self-defence. As we commemorate Youm-e-Takbeer today, we pay glowing tribute to Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who laid the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, and to Quaid Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, whose bold, courageous, and resolute leadership in May 1998 transformed that vision into reality despite immense international pressure. We also honour Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, Dr. Samar Mubarakmand and the countless brilliant scientists, engineers, valiant armed forces personnel, and all those associated with the nuclear programme, whose dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment made Pakistan’s defence invincible. Youm-e-Takbeer remains a symbol of national unity, unwavering resolve, and the collective strength of all elements of national power in safeguarding Pakistan’s independence while ensuring peace and strategic stability in the region. On this historic day, let us renew our pledge to build a strong, prosperous, united, and self-reliant Pakistan founded on faith, unity, and discipline. Pakistan Zindabad 🇵🇰

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 chaired a committee meeting today to take stock of the performance of Pakistan’s Missions abroad. DPM/FM appreciated the efforts of Pakistan Missions in advancing the country’s diplomatic, consular, and economic priorities. He noted the need to further enhance coordination between Headquarters and Missions, along with a stronger focus on results-oriented diplomacy, to ensure more effective delivery and the best use of available resources. He further directed that these efforts be sustained and strengthened to fully align with national foreign policy objectives and maximize impact. The meeting was attended by Minister of State Bilal Kiyani, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, and senior officials of the Ministries of Finance, Commerce, Cabinet and Foreign Affairs.
