Texas is going to be the #bitcoin mining capital of the world because of i) massive amounts of natural resources, ii) entrepreneurs that are true wildcatters, iii) its own energy grid and iv) rational people that promote development of energy resources, both private and public.

on mining economic behavior, I think most are actually #bitcoin permabulls (and some even have leverage on top, amping risk). some do sell bitcoin to pay their electricity bills, others do not short-term sell and mine to hodl, paying electricity from unrelated revenue & capital

@MrHodl @WhalePanda It’s really not. Low humidity is key so you have option to run evaporative cooling. Only need it >5% of time. All is solvable when power is cheap enough.

This is something I don’t get about those who say POW is more resistant to coercion and government control. It’s easier to regulate machine imports or energy use than to control a very liquid currency. Anyone should be able to stake.
