I've improved social identity data in health care. Now I'm working on personal identity. Duplication in health records is a huge safety and operations problem. As we merge datasets among care partners, we must ensure each person IRL has one identity in the record. @4medica

People ask me all the time for AI use cases in healthcare So last month, we hosted the first OOP hackathon using generative AI tools Here are all the projects that were made in 36 hours. They made me more optimistic about the future

@healthapiguy Who among us hasn't hired an Epic moonlighter at an academic medical center (or Providence, Kaiser, Sutter, etc.) to help us test our digital health apps?

There's a big opportunity for a health system on Epic to spin up a second testing environment and offer access to it as a sandbox to digital health apps. This will be covered in my upcoming article on integrating and partnering with Epic, but one big deficiency of the Epic application program is a lack of a true sandbox, including user interface access, for digital health applications trying to understand how they can embed their SMART on FHIR app, render their CDS Hooks, etc. Most apps would pay heavily for this capability (I could imagine $50k-100k easily). Obviously EHR contracts may preclude this, but I also think that wouldn't stand under information blocking regulations between a consenting health system and business associate application.

Today is my last day at Healthwise. It's been a great 19 year career. I am most proud of our work to integrate Healthwise into actual health care services delivered by actual providers to patients.
