Small rant… Am I the only one that doesn’t give two shits about our uniforms? I’ve never been impressed with Adidas but I also don’t care. If we win, it doesn’t matter. I won a golf tournament this weekend and nobody said anything about what I was wearing.

The new uniforms are out and Husker X Nation is doing exactly what Husker X Nation does.
Some love them. Some hate them. Some are somehow connecting shoulder stripes to the downfall of Nebraska football.
A reminder:
The last time Nebraska made a major permanent uniform change was 2002.
You know what happened after that?
Nebraska went +3 in turnover margin in 2002 and +23 in 2003.
Turns out pants stripes don't cause turnovers.
Jerseys don't miss tackles.
Helmet decals don't blow coverages.
And shoulder patterns don't determine whether a quarterback can read Cover 2.
The reality is much less dramatic:
Nebraska needed a modern refresh.
Every major brand evolves.
The uniforms still look like Nebraska.
They're red. They're white. They've got the N.
The program didn't suddenly become Oregon because Adidas moved some stripes around.
And here's the part people need to hear:
They're not changing them.
You are absolutely free to love them.
You are absolutely free to hate them.
What you need to stop doing is acting like a uniform reveal is somehow connected to 25 years of Nebraska football frustrations.
It's not.
The players like em.
The recruits like em.
The people Nebraska is trying to attract like them.
That's who matters.
Because I promise you this:
If Nebraska wins 10+ games, half of the people complaining today will be posting photos wearing these uniforms by November.
Win games and they're iconic.
Lose games and they're cursed.
Same uniforms. Different record.

Tomorrow's setup is concerning across the central Plains, with an Enhanced Risk of severe thunderstorms. Expect severe storms to fire up from Saturday afternoon into the evening, bringing large to very-large hail, severe winds over 75 mph, and tornadoes. As a mid-level ridge de-amplifies and the lee cyclone deepens across eastern Colorado, moisture transport will escalate across Kansas, northeast Colorado, and southwest Nebraska. By mid-afternoon, upslope flow will likely trigger supercells capable of large hail across eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle. Later in the day, watch for storm development along the dryline in eastern Colorado and western Kansas, as well as along a frontal zone in Nebraska. Initial supercells could evolve into MCSs by evening, intensifying the wind threat as they move into central Kansas. Saturday could be a long one for those in the area.
