You have to give it to Gen Z in India. Their Cockroach Movement achieved three things: it exposed Modi's vulnerability, reaffirmed Indian democracy, and inadvertently exposed the hypocrisy of the ruling elite next door in Pakistan, which champions democracy, human rights, and youth empowerment everywhere, except in its own country.

Zack Polanski
Zack Polanski@ZackPolanski·
Goldsmith ran one of the most racist campaigns in British political history and London rejected him. Our twinning proposal is about offering practical and moral support to a city subjugated under a brutal military occupation. He remains ignorant to this by his own prejudice.
Zac Goldsmith@ZacGoldsmith

Haifa is one of the best examples of sustained Jewish-Arab coexistence in Israel. Many Arab residents condemned the Oct 7 atrocities. Jews and Muslims have continued to coexist since then. Ramallah has virtually no Jewish residents. Its people cheered the Oct 7 atrocities. No peaceful coexistence.  -So no prizes for guessing which area Polanski’s ‘Greens’ want to identify with. They give themselves away time and time again

israel has destroyed roughly 1000 mosques in Gaza, killing over 500 sheikhs and scholars. Not a single time, I would believe, so-called Muslims in the Arab and Western regimes havens have ever held funeral prayers for them.
Abubaker Abed@AbubakerAbedW

Recent Duaa from Gaza’s remaining mosques where literally almost everyone either sacrificed their homes or family members but are still pleading and weeping in desperation for entering Jannah in the hereafter. May Allah end the suffering of Gaza and replace it with heaven. ❤️🤲

Last year, Louise Haigh said Israel's actions in Gaza were "nothing less than a genocide." Now she's in the Cabinet, will she stand by those words and help end the UK's complicity in it?

In Britain, a mosque is attacked every five days. More and more neo-Nazi terror plots are being uncovered Women have been raped in racially-motivated attacks What more needs to happen before we treat this as a national emergency?

Imran Khan speaks about the profound implications of the Menon case: "what is most fundamentally at stake is the constitutional value of fearless advocacy itself. The principle that counsel must be free to advance a client’s case without fear of personal retribution is not a professional privilege; it is a constitutional safeguard" @TheCriminalBar @gardencourtlaw theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

A Muslim woman was attacked with a glass bottle. Walking home from work through Glasgow city centre. Alone. Just past midnight. Four men surrounded her. One smashed a bottle over her head. They told her to take off her hijab. They called her a dirty P**i. They told her this was their country, and to go home. She wears hijab. That's why she was a target. There's a word for using violence to terrorise people for who they are. They'll use it about us. They won't use it about this. A taxi driver saw it. He shouted for someone to call 999. He pulled her into his car. She was shaking, saying "oh my god", in shock. She went to hospital. She needed stitches. Then Police Scotland gave their account. A disturbance involving a group of youths. The youths had made off. No one required medical treatment. They called them youths. We call them men who terrorised a woman. This isn't an isolated incident anymore. It's a pattern. Last month in Edinburgh, five Muslim men were attacked with a machete after leaving prayers at Broomhouse Mosque. The man charged faces ten terrorism-linked offences. Every charge carries a terrorist connection. This week on Renfield Street, a woman was struck with a bottle for wearing a hijab. And it became a disturbance. Each incident gets reported as a standalone story. Local news. Move on. But zoom out and the pattern is unmistakable. And it falls hardest on women. 1 in 5 Muslim women have experienced a hate incident in the last year. 80% never report it. Hate aimed at Muslim women is more likely to carry sexual aggression than hate aimed at men. On our own platform, we documented 70 anti-Muslim incidents in May. In June: 105. A 50% rise in a single month. Still no COBRA meeting. Still no renewed hate crime action plan. The last one expired in 2020. Still the funding we were promised comes with strings. Criticise the government, and it can be pulled. Homes. Families. Places of worship. Vehicles. All of it under attack, from every angle. The bottle on Renfield Street wasn't thrown in a vacuum. It was thrown in an atmosphere where a woman in hijab is told, to her face, that this isn't her country. Except it is her country. She's a British woman. Walking home from a British job. Attacked by men who've been told hatred is patriotism. The footage went viral because a taxi driver filmed it. But how many attacks aren't filmed? How many women change their route home? How many take the hijab off rather than risk it? Those are the victories they're really after. It's the same hostility. It just changes address. On the record, it's a disturbance. On the street, it's a bottle to a woman's skull. A Muslim man stopped his car and pulled her to safety. His name is Zack Aziz. He's the hero of this story. They won't call him that either. Four men terrorised a woman in Glasgow. Police called it a disturbance. No one, they said, required medical treatment. She was in hospital getting stitches as they said it. As lead defence barrister in the trials of the Filton 6, Rajiv Menon defended all of them, including my daughter. So this outrageous prosecution feels very personal. But it should horrify anyone who might one day need to to be defended in court. Please sign 🙏

Ethnic cleansing and displacement described as "progressive" is so Labour Party coded. Never let these ppl anywhere near power in Hackney, a genuinely progressive borough.

Just published! @ZoeGarbett and the @hackneygreens first foreign policy decision! To waste officer time and public money pulling out of a 50+ year twinning arrangement between Hackney and Haifa, a progressive Israeli city. The twinning has seen zero activity for many years. “Sometimes you need a futile gesture”! @suzanne_moore
