@samo_skey There was a programme years ago The Twilight Zone. I was very young, but the episode where a child’s coloured doll changed places with her, the mother didn’t believe her. Then one day she saw a coloured child in the garden so chased her away, that episode still freaks me out.

I have been hearing my name for six months. Not shouted. Not whispered. Said. The way someone says your name when they are standing next to you and want your attention. Calm. Familiar. Close. Always in my left ear. Always once. Never twice. I went to the doctor. No infection. No tinnitus. No explanation. I started ignoring it. You can get used to anything. Then three weeks ago it changed. It stopped saying my name. It started having conversations. Not with me. Around me. Like I was not supposed to hear. Two voices. One I didn't recognise.

@jonwhay @MattCas04807118 Avoid areas known for this. Pattaya, Patong red light district in Bangkok. There are plenty of amazing places to visit where you won’t be judged. It’s a fantastic country and the real Thailand is not the tourist areas.

@TanteRos In Thailand they play the national anthem at 6pm even at the market everyone stops and stand straight in respect.

I was just remembering when the National Anthem came on the wireless or TV my great aunts would all stand to attention. And at cinemas in 60s, at the end of the film, the national anthem was played & everyone was supposed to stand in a dignified way, which didn't happen.

@beyondbills_ I have been spent the last 4 months in Thailand. They fly their flag from cars, houses and food stalls. They stand silent at the national anthem. They do not allow non Thais to own land or do a job Thais can do. The people are proud. And I have never felt this safe in UK.
