LFD crews are currently working on water rescue skills on a portion of the river near Riverside and Wonderland. The public is reminded to use extreme caution near all local waterways as banks may be slippery and unstable. Water is very cold and fast moving. Caregivers are also reminded to keep children and pets away from water courses. It is not safe to take shelter along the river banks or in low lying areas that are prone to flooding.

Thanks to multiple 911 callers that advised our Communication Operations of an eastbound train on fire going over Oxford St. We were able to get on scene & contain the fire in the downtown area very quickly with limited damage and no injuries. Great job by Fire COMMs. #ldnont ^cs
