Diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly and powerfully with the potential to lead to substantive results in near future. To allow diplomacy to run its course, I earnestly request President Trump to extend the deadline for two weeks. Pakistan, in all sincerity, requests the Iranian brothers to open Strait of Hormuz for a corresponding period of two weeks as a goodwill gesture. We also urge all warring parties to observe a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to allow diplomacy to achieve conclusive termination of war, in the interest of long-term peace and stability in the region. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SteveWitkoff @SEPeaceMissions @drpezeshkian @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi

Zarif’s proposal has little chance of gaining traction. It leaves out key issues like proxies and missile limits while asking for a nonaggression pact. From both the US and Israeli perspective, that’s a bad deal. The core objective of the US is to remove Iran as a long-term threat, and this proposal doesn’t move the needle. It’s also highly unlikely the US would sign a nonaggression agreement with a sworn adversary, especially when there are multiple pathways for new conflicts to emerge. At this point, the US and Israel would likely prefer a ceasefire with no deal over accepting a bad one. Their current trajectory seems aimed at securing a ceasefire that includes reopening Hormuz, without offering broader concessions.

فردا، پرزیدنت ترامپ چه موضوعی را اعلام خواهد کرد؟
