@C_3C_3 Reducing millions of people to 'Patriots vs Marxists' isn’t analysis: it’s a false binary. Most political disagreements are about policy/priorities, not secret ideologies. Framing opponents as enemies is pure division, handing power to those who gain from keeping you all divided.

@PressSec When not change the CIA to CIAO while he is at it?

@FLOTUS Calling satire 'violent rhetoric' blurs a basic line between comedy & actual harm & stretches the meaning of the term beyond recognition. Disagreeing with a joke isn’t censorship/enabling: it’s just a plural media environment where not everything has to be liked to be allowed.
English

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.
People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.
A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.
Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

@johnnymaga I don't know much about 'Rounders', but does first base go easier on the bone spurs?
English

They arrested the President of the United States of America 4X, charged him 91X, indicted him 4X, spied on his campaign, sabotaged his first term, jailed his supporters, raided his private residence, censored him, gagged him, tried to bankrupt him, and attempted to remove him from state ballots.
When all of that failed they tried to assassinate him not once but four times.
And they go on national television to talk about how we need to vote for them to save democracy.
English

@DaveKent101 Denmark hasn’t ignored the ECHR & is still bound by it. It can deport some foreign nationals with convictions under tighter national rules, but decisions can be challenged. The UK isn’t uniquely timid; it’s applying the same treaty w/in different domestic laws/court constraints.
English

@beverleyturner History is full of events where eyewitnesses were confident but incomplete or mistaken. Scepticism isn’t stupidity; it’s part of how we get to the truth. You don’t need to agree with conspiracy claims to recognise that ‘I was there’ isn’t the same as proof.
English

As many of you will know, I am an open-minded person who is largely capable of seeing things from many angles.
I have learned to trust my judgment on what is real and fake. I trust my gut and draw upon my experiences to tell me about people, relationships and situations.
Last night's attempted assassination at #whcd HAPPENED. I saw nobody who appeared to 'secretly' know this was theatre.
When you are ACTUALLY THERE with the sights, sounds, smells of an occasion, it is easy to detect fact from fiction.
I know that all trust in 'elites' has gone. But don't let that make you a d**k. Be smarter than that.
English

@LauraLoomer This is how you spot narrative over fact: inflate one official’s powers, ignore how agencies actually work, then pin complex violence on a single scapegoat. NCTC doesn’t arrest or prosecute - claims like this are dangerous & conveniently fit with an ongoing agenda, not reality.
English

In many ways, Joe Kent is responsible for the shooting last night.
For the last 15 months, he was the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center which gave him the authority to crack down on Leftist foreign and DOMESTIC terror networks operating in America.
Under Kent, not a single Leftist domestic terror group was taken down or indicted.
He had one job, and he failed. @joekent16jan19
How come nobody wants to ask him what he did all day over the last 15 months?
Why are so many nominees in this admin paid to do nothing but be screw ups all day?
I’d love to know.
English

@DefiyantlyFree Foreign states like Russia, China & Iran do run influence ops as does the US, but evidence shows they amplify existing divisions. Claims that whole movements are controlled by the above are unsupported & mirror the kind of oversimplified thinking. Try a different continent.
English

@LauraLoomer Treating civil society like a 'fire sale' to be shut down by executive whim erodes due process, chills lawful speech & association & invites partisan abuse of state power. Once that precedent is set, it won’t stay confined to one side - nobody is safe.
English

People who work for Trump have had 15 months to dismantle radical left organizations and strip leftist 501c3s that incite violence of their tax deductible status, and not a single group has been dismantled.
Many of the people who work for President Trump have failed.
They wasted 15 months that should have been used codifying Trump’s executive order to take down the radical left domestic terror funding pipeline in America.
You have to wonder what those people have been doing with their time.
Really makes me wonder how some of them got their jobs to begin with. But, nobody wants to have that uncomfortable conversation.

@MarkIssaTexts There’s no benchmark in political science where a group hitting a specific population share automatically produces coordinated political 'capture'. That idea isn’t a model/finding; it’s invented, detached from how institutions, voting behaviour & social heterogeneity work.
English

Muslims do not need to become a majority to take over a nation politically. The real benchmark is 10%.
Once Muslims reach that threshold, they generate enough organized, consistent, and relentless pressure to begin reshaping a society from within. This is exactly what happened in the Middle East, Islam ruled for centuries before Muslims were even a majority of the population. They will do the same in Europe and the West if not decisively stopped.
The Islamization of culture accelerates once political leverage is achieved; but achieving that leverage never required a majority. Islamic doctrine is extraordinarily well developed on this point; it has centuries of refined methodology for how a minority captures political power, then gradually Islamizes the culture until the demographic transformation becomes irreversible.
The British and Europeans have no idea what they are dealing with. They look down on Islam as a primitive religion; a relic, a curiosity. They do not see it for what it actually is: one of the most sophisticated and battle-tested systems of political conquest ever developed by human civilization.
By the time they realize it, 10% will be a distant memory.
English

@SuellaBraverman Flags & the monarchy aren’t apolitical; they’re state-made symbols whose meaning is historically constructed & contested. In political science, they function as tools of nation-building & civic identity, not neutral or 'incontrovertible' objects.
English

James misses the point and gets it wrong.
Our national flag and monarch are not ‘emblems of choice’.
They are apolitical, incontrovertible and constant symbols of our nation’s identity- that’s the point.
There are too many schools where our children are being taught to be ashamed of our country instead of how to be proud of it. Where they are told that our flag and our country are racist.
Something is going wrong and the government needs to step in.
Flying the flag with pride is one way of setting the right example. We need to show our young people that we are proud of our country and that’s why our new policy commands public support.
Other countries do this. We should too.

@ajdc470914 @JeffClarkUS @realDonaldTrump Citizens do influence Congress through elections: that’s the democratic mechanism. But once elected, lawmakers still make independent decisions under Article I. Voters shape representation over time, not specific funding or votes in real time.
English

@HanJohansson68 @JeffClarkUS @realDonaldTrump Yes, but citizens have influence on what Congress approves for sure, if voting done by citizens honestly.
English

Here is my recommendation to @realDonaldTrump when he speaks to an alarmed Nation tonight:
“I am exercising my constitutional power under Article II, Section 3 to convene both houses of Congress on ‘extraordinary Occasions.’ I have ordered them to convene tomorrow morning by 10 am.
I will keep them in session using that same power until they fund ALL of DHS — without exception!
And I will hear or brook no nonsense from the Senate — or the House for that matter — that they are already in session, just in a pro forma capacity.
My convening power allows me to insist on a REAL, not a pro forma session. And I will send them right back into session if they try to adjourn in a pro forma capacity.”
English

@BasedMikeLee Article II, Section 3 lets a POTUS convene Congress, but it doesn’t let them force a 'full session' or compel votes on specific funding or appointments. Congress controls its own schedule & appropriations under Article I, including DHS & Secret Service funding. Hope that helps 😜
English

Both chambers should reconvene
Immediately
Stay in until DHS is fully funded
Cernovich@Cernovich
Declare an emergency and put Congress into FULL SESSION. All appointments must be voted on. DHS and Secret Service funded. No more games.
English

@RepLuna ‘For the first time’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting, erasing a long history of political violence/intimidation. People have been dealing with this for decades. Blaming the media as the sole cause isn’t analysis: it’s deflection & avoids looking at people like you that feed it.
