I've gotten in habit of: - going to sleep with @daylightco - taking only my @daylightco to cafes when I want to do deep work I want some kind of stimulation while falling asleep, but if I take my phone or iPad to bed, I'll stay up watching YouTube or scrolling Twitter. Reading in bed (especially with a paperlike display) is for me the strongest sedative. Couple pages and I'm out. When I'm working, I'm usually reading difficult material and trying to come up with good questions. It's helpful to have a device where I'm not even tempted to fuck off and start scrolling. With a bluetooth keyboard, @daylightco basically functions as a laptop. I love that I can only do two things on this device - read, or write.

60% of Americans believe the devil is real, which is quite a bit higher than the professed support for various progressive propositions. The belief that sharing majority theological beliefs is somehow scandalous seems quite emblematic of our age.

@GarettJones Mitt Romney would be a great candidate for the Democratic party. He'll get a lot of the Republican vote, and he really wants to beat the Republican ticket. He's a more electable pick than anyone they're considering.
