This is hardly "wiping the floor" in Texas. Paxton underperformed G. Abbott by 10 points in 2018. He also underperformed every other Republican running in a statewide race. And that was BEFORE he was impeached by fellow Republicans in 2023 and engulfed by tawdry personal scandal

The money narrative is hilarious. Paxton has wiped the floor with his Democrat opponents in state-wide elections since 2014. Every Texan know who & what he is - they are now learning about his latest opponent. This is not a concerning race - Polymarket currently has it a 10-point spread.

This thread originating with @TeamTalaricoHQ is about Paxton's personal charges for which he personally paid restitution.
The settlement to which you refer is Texas taxpayers footing a $6.6 million judgment to four former AG office employees from a 2025 ruling that the AG's office violated the Texas Whistleblower Act by firing the employees after they reported him to the FBI over alleged bribery and misconduct in 2020.
Paxton dropped the state's appeal in July 2025, requiring the Texas Legislature to appropriate the funds for damages and fees.

Ken Paxton even kept him off the sex offender registry. Adam Hoffman was supposed to serve 25 years to life, but instead he served less than a month. As of this week, he’s now back on our streets because of Ken Paxton’s corruption.
Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America, and it is costing Texans, it’s endangering our children, and it must end. The Epstein class has no place in Texas.

I think God is God, can’t compare him to a man or a woman, guns protect my family too (even if I sometimes think my MIL is mental), and don’t even get me started on brisket because it’s our favorite thing to cook. And my 19 yo just got a job at the HEB True Texas BBQ doing just that. Texas is a fun bunch, aren’t we?

My notifications are inundated with Republicans saying that Ken Paxton is necessary to ... "drain the swamp." Paxton is a one-man swamp (like Donald Trump). Paxton is so corrupt, he was impeached by a Republican chamber (and spared, of course, by another -- because tribe).

At some point, actual Christians, not just the ones who call themselves that, are gonna have to opt out of politics for the parties to improve the quality of their candidates. Continuing to insist Christians vote for evil, so long as it’s lesser than the other, is getting old.
