#KAPSARC analysis shows that Saudi Arabia’s economy in 2023 was 14.1% larger than previously estimated, adding about SAR 566 billion to the country’s measured GDP. The update also increases the non-oil share of the economy from 47.5% to 53.2%. Much of the difference comes from construction and manufacturing, which together account for about 45% of the revision, reflecting stronger measurement of activity in domestic industries. In the first week of March, card payments at petrol stations in Saudi Arabia continued its downward trend. I'll follow this data over March. I expect the trend to continue to decline, as the number of tourists and foreign residents may have dropped since US's war on Iran began.
